Custom shipping method error: Please specify a shipping method - php

I have a variety of custom shipping methods in my store, but I noticed that, if the user is logged in, the order cannot be finished. The user chooses which shipping method they want and then they cannot pass the payment method, because it keeps giving this error: Please specify a shipping method.
Here's my code:

Can't seem to find a reason why, I compared my code with others and they look pretty much identical.
Thanks in advance.

Seems magento 2.2 is not loving underscore on attribute $_code.
$_code = 'magenticians_moduleshipping';
Try change to
protected $_code = 'magenticiansmoduleshipping';

Display flat rate on magento 2 product page

I want to display flat rate on magento 2 product page. I have that code from here:
https://www.magentoextensions.org/documentation/_carrier_2_flatrate_8php_source.html
Code:
<?php
namespace Vendor\MariuszModule\Block;
use Magento\OfflineShipping\Model\Carrier\Flatrate\ItemPriceCalculator;
use Magento\Quote\Model\Quote\Address\RateRequest;
use Magento\Shipping\Model\Carrier\AbstractCarrier;
use Magento\Shipping\Model\Carrier\CarrierInterface;
use Magento\Shipping\Model\Rate\Result;
/**

class MariuszModule extends \Magento\Framework\View\Element\Template
{
/**
* #var Http
*/
protected $request;
/**
* MariuszModule constructor.
* #param \Magento\Backend\Block\Template\Context $context
* #param \Magento\Framework\App\Request\Http $request
* #param array $data
*/
public function __construct(
\Magento\Backend\Block\Template\Context $context,
\Magento\Framework\App\Request\Http $request,
\Magento\OfflineShipping\Model\Carrier\Flatrate $flatRate,
\Magento\Quote\Model\Quote\Address\RateRequest $rateRequest,
\Magento\Shipping\Model\Rate\ResultFactory $rateResultFactory,
\Magento\OfflineShipping\Model\Carrier\Flatrate\ItemPriceCalculator $itemPriceCalculator,
array $data = [])
{
$this->request = $request;
$this->itemPriceCalculator = $itemPriceCalculator;
$this->_rateResultFactory = $rateResultFactory;
$this->flatRate = $flatRate;
$this->rateRequest = $rateRequest;
parent::__construct($context, $data);
}
public function saleble()
{
$flatRate = $this->flatRate;
$rateRequest = $this->rateRequest;
$freeBoxes = $flatRate->getFreeBoxesCount($rateRequest);
return $flatRate->getShippingPrice($rateRequest,$freeBoxes);
}
}
But my code display nothing. I really dont know why this don't work.
Thanks for some help

API-Platform: Filtering Custom Data Provider

I'm currently experiencing issues when trying to filter my results when using an external API source (Stripe) in API-Platform.
What I need to be able to do, is return a list of subscriptions for a specified customer. So going to http://localhost/api/subscriptions?customer=123foo would return all records matched to this customer.
Now, the code below is throwing an error because of the ORM\Filter and would be functional without it, as the actual filtering is performed on Stripes API, not by me, BUT, I really want the Swagger-API GUI to have the filter box.
In short, how do I get the Annotations in my Entity to display, searchable fields within the Swagger UI when using an external data source.
What I have is an Entity as below (simplified for example purposes):
<?php
namespace App\Entity;
use ApiPlatform\Core\Annotation\ApiResource;
use ApiPlatform\Core\Annotation\ApiProperty;
use Symfony\Component\Serializer\Annotation\Groups;
use ApiPlatform\Core\Bridge\Doctrine\Orm\Filter\SearchFilter;
use ApiPlatform\Core\Annotation\ApiFilter;
/**
* Subscriptions allow you to charge a customer on a recurring basis. A subscription ties a customer to a particular plan you've created.
* #ApiResource()
* #ApiFilter(SearchFilter::class, properties={"customer": "exact"})
* #package App\Entity
*/
class Subscription
{
/**
* Unique identifier for the object.
* #ApiProperty(identifier=true)
* #var string | null
*/
protected $id;
/**
* ID of the customer who owns the subscription.
* #var string | null
*/
protected $customer;
// Plus a bunch more properties and their Getters & Setters
}
And the SubscriptionCollectionDataProvider:
<?php
namespace App\DataProvider;
use App\Entity\Subscription;
use ApiPlatform\Core\DataProvider\CollectionDataProviderInterface;
use ApiPlatform\Core\DataProvider\RestrictedDataProviderInterface;
use App\Controller\BaseController;
use Symfony\Component\HttpFoundation\RequestStack;
/**
* Class SubscriptionCollectionDataProvider
* #package App\DataProvider
* #author dhayward
*/
final class SubscriptionCollectionDataProvider extends BaseController implements CollectionDataProviderInterface, RestrictedDataProviderInterface
{
protected $requestStack;
/**
* SubscriptionCollectionDataProvider constructor.
* #param RequestStack $requestStack
*/
public function __construct(RequestStack $requestStack)
{
$this->request = $requestStack->getCurrentRequest();
}
/**
* #param string $resourceClass
* #param string|null $operationName
* #param array $context
* #return bool
*/
public function supports(string $resourceClass, string $operationName = null, array $context = []): bool
{
return Subscription::class === $resourceClass;
}
/**
* #param string $resourceClass
* #param string|null $operationName
* #return \Generator
* #throws \Stripe\Error\Api
*/
public function getCollection(string $resourceClass, string $operationName = null): \Generator
{
$customer = $this->request->get("customer");
$data = \Stripe\Subscription::all(["customer" => $customer]);
foreach($data['data'] as $subscriptionObject){
$this->serializer()->deserialize(json_encode($subscriptionObject), Subscription::class, 'json', array('object_to_populate' => $subscription = new Subscription()));
yield $subscription;
}
}
}
Error result, which is presumably because I'm using an ORM/Filter without any ORM setup:
Call to a member function getClassMetadata() on null
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
So I finally managed to work it out. It was as simple as creating my own version of the SearchFilter, implementing ApiPlatform\Core\Api\FilterInterface.
<?php
namespace App\Filter;
use ApiPlatform\Core\Api\FilterInterface;
/**
* Class SearchFilter
* #package App\Filter
*/
class SearchFilter implements FilterInterface
{
/**
* #var string Exact matching
*/
const STRATEGY_EXACT = 'exact';
/**
* #var string The value must be contained in the field
*/
const STRATEGY_PARTIAL = 'partial';
/**
* #var string Finds fields that are starting with the value
*/
const STRATEGY_START = 'start';
/**
* #var string Finds fields that are ending with the value
*/
const STRATEGY_END = 'end';
/**
* #var string Finds fields that are starting with the word
*/
const STRATEGY_WORD_START = 'word_start';
protected $properties;
/**
* SearchFilter constructor.
* #param array|null $properties
*/
public function __construct(array $properties = null)
{
$this->properties = $properties;
}
/**
* {#inheritdoc}
*/
public function getDescription(string $resourceClass): array
{
$description = [];
$properties = $this->properties;
foreach ($properties as $property => $strategy) {
$filterParameterNames = [
$property,
$property.'[]',
];
foreach ($filterParameterNames as $filterParameterName) {
$description[$filterParameterName] = [
'property' => $property,
'type' => 'string',
'required' => false,
'strategy' => self::STRATEGY_EXACT,
'is_collection' => '[]' === substr($filterParameterName, -2),
];
}
}
return $description;
}
}

Argument 1 passed to __construct() must be an instance of GuzzleHttp\Client

And here is the code I'm using to try and use the fetch() method from the vendor class:
use Cms\Classes\ComponentBase;
use ArrayAccess;
use Countable;
use Exception;
use GuzzleHttp\Client;
use Illuminate\Contracts\Config\Repository;

}
public function loadFeedback($client, $config)
{
$feefo = new Feefo($client, $config);
$feedback = $feefo->fetch();
return $feedback;
}
}
Won't allow me to call the Fetch() method statically so trying to instantiate and then use:
public function loadFeedback($client, $config)
{
$feefo = new Feefo($client, $config);
$feedback = $feefo->fetch();
return $feedback;
}
I've also tried type hinting the args like this:
public function loadFeedback(Client $client, Repository $config)
{
$feefo = new Feefo($client, $config);
$feedback = $feefo->fetch();
return $feedback;
}
But still I get the exception error above. I'm struggling to understand how to get past this. Any help for a newbie much appreciated :)
Just type hinting the function won't cast it to that object type. You need to properly pass the Guzzle\Client object to your function call.
// Make sure you 'use' the GuzzleClient on top of the class
// or use the Fully Qualified Class Name of the Client
$client = new Client();
$feedback = new Feedback();
// Now we passed the Client object to the function of the feedback class
// which will lead to the constructor of the Feefo class which is
// where your error is coming from.
$loadedFeedback = $feedback->loadFeedback($client);
Don't forget to do the same for the Repository $config from Laravel/Lumen

I am using Mouf framework.I am stuck with this problem.Someone Please help me to solve this problem.
Thanks in advance
As advised by #rokas, you should really start reading more about Doctrine. This is not a Mouf issue, this is clearly a Doctrine ORM issue so the appropriate doc is here: http://docs.doctrine-project.org/projects/doctrine-orm/en/latest/index.html
Here are a few tips:
Your controller calls the setdata method
$user_data=$this->requestDao->setdata();
The setdata method calls:
$product= $this->create('Keyboard','000000001ae10dda000000003c4667a6','Ergonomic and stylish!','1111');
Now, the create method is:
public function create(...$params) : Request
{
$entity = new Request(...$params);
$this->getEntityManager()->persist($entity);
return $entity;
}
This means that it will call the Request constructor with this parameters:
$entity = new Request('Keyboard','000000001ae10dda000000003c4667a6','Ergonomic and stylish!','1111');
Have a look at the Request constructor:
public function __construct($salesperson, $client, $status, $qualification) {
$this->salesperson = $salesperson;
$this->client = $client;
$this->status = $status;
$this->qualification = $qualification;
}
As you can see, the first parameter is $salesperson. You try to put the value "Keyboard" here. The $salesperson attribute is defined this way:
/**
* #ORM\ManyToMany(targetEntity="Salesperson", inversedBy="request")
* #ORM\JoinTable(name="request_salesperson")
* #var Salesperson
*/
private $salesperson;
/**
* #param Salesperson $salesperson
*/
public function setSalesperson($salesperson)
{
$this->salesperson = $salesperson;
}
Now, here is your problem I think.
The $salesperson property is defined as a "ManyToMany" association. So you really cannot put a string in here, it is a collection of Salesperson. By the way, you should not "set" anything either. The setter should be completely removed.
Instead, you should consider using it as per the documentation here: http://docs.doctrine-project.org/projects/doctrine-orm/en/latest/reference/working-with-associations.html
For instance:
$request->getSalesPersons()->add($someObjectRepresentingAPerson);
Also, notice that since the $salesperson represents a collection of Salesperson object, your should really name it $salesPersons (plural form)

Custom Shipping Method - Please specify a shipping method

I'm working on a custom shipping method and I've been getting exception each times I try to place an order with my method ("Please specify a shipping method").
I tried with the Magento 2 Flat Rate method and it worked.
I found that in Magento/Quote/Model/QuoteValidator.php on line 52, the getShippingMethod() returned nothing because that function :
public function getShippingMethod()
{
return $this->getData('shipping_method');
}
in Magento/Quote/Model/Quote/Address.php returned nothing.
Just in case my code was wrong, I also tried with this custom shipping method (I followed this tutorial to create the method) http://www.blog.magepsycho.com/create-custom-shipping-module-in-magento-2/ (just activate the module and tried to place an order with that method) but I'm facing the same issue.
Does someone know how I can resolve this issue ?
Thanks.
Here is my Model/Carrier/method.php :

protected $_code = 'coursierprive_transport';

\Magento\Shipping\Model\Rate\ResultFactory $rateResultFactory,
\Magento\Quote\Model\Quote\Address\RateResult\MethodFactory $rateMethodFactory,
array $data = []
)
{
$this->_rateResultFactory = $rateResultFactory;
$this->_rateMethodFactory = $rateMethodFactory;
$this->_logger = $logger;
parent::__construct($scopeConfig, $rateErrorFactory, $logger, $data);
}
/**
* #param RateRequest $request
* #return \Magento\Shipping\Model\Rate\Result
* #SuppressWarnings(PHPMD.UnusedLocalVariable)
*/
public function collectRates(RateRequest $request)
{
if (!$this->getConfigFlag('active'))
return (false);
if ($request->getAllItems())
{
foreach ($request->getAllItems() as $item)
{
// Some stuff used to check dimensions, weight, post code... etc
}
}
if (//some tests)
return (false);
$result = $this->_rateResultFactory->create();
$shippingPrice = 5.5;
$method = $this->_rateMethodFactory->create();
$method->setCarrier($this->_code);
$method->setCarrierTitle($this->getConfigData('title'));
$method->setMethod($this->_code);
$method->setMethodTitle($this->getConfigData('name'));
if ($request->getFreeShipping() === true || $request->getPackageQty() == $this->getFreeBoxes())
$shippingPrice = 0;
$method->setPrice($shippingPrice);
$method->setCost($shippingPrice);
$result->append($method);
return ($result);
}
/**
* Get allowed shipping methods
*
* #return array
*/
public function getAllowedMethods()
{
return (['coursierprive_transport' => $this->getConfigData('name')]);
}
}
Here is my Config.xml :
<config xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="../../../Magento/Store/etc/config.xsd">
<default>
<carriers>
<coursierprive_transport>
<active>1</active>
<sallowspecific>0</sallowspecific>
<price>5.5</price>
<model>CoursierPrive\Transport\Model\Carrier\Method</model>
<name>Express</name>
<title>Coursier Privé</title>
<specificerrmsg>This shipping method is not available. To use this shipping method, please contact us.</specificerrmsg>
</coursierprive_transport>
</carriers>
</default>
</config>
I think that I know what messed up. I suppose there is a size limit for the method name and my first name contained too many chars.
Try to change the code to something short like:
protected $_code = 'couriertransport';
I am not sure if this is the issue but doing so fixed the issue:
https://github.com/MagePsycho/magento2-custom-shipping
My case : protected $_code = 'effectconnect_shipment';
=> so full code must be 'effectconnect_shipment_effectconnect_shipment'
I checked the length of this code is only 40 so rename it to $_code = 'effectconnect'; and it work !!!
