i have this HTML line here (its an echo from php)
echo "
<div class='rowItem'>
<div class='singleItem'>
<div class='itemImage' >
<img src= $arr3[$i] >
</div>
<div class='itemName'>$arr1[$i]</div>
<div class='itemPrice'><br> Php$arr2[$i]
<div class='orderButtonDiv'>
<a href='menu_burger.php'>ORDER</a>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>";
Here is the CSS I'm using
.itemImage{
height:100%;
width :100%;
}
.itemImage img{
width: 60%;
left: 0px;
right: 0px;
}
.itemName{
color: red;
text-decoration: none;
font-family: "Roboto",sans-serif;
font-size: 150%;
font-weight: bold;
margin-left: 40%;
margin-top: 4%;
}
.itemPrice{
color: black;
text-decoration: none;
font-family: "Roboto",sans-serif;
font-size: 110%;
margin-left: 41%;
position: absolute;
bottom: 25%;
z-index -1;
}
.singleItem{
width: 48%;
background-color: #e0dede;
border:1px solid red;
height: 150px;
position: relative;
z-index: -1;
}
here picture of the result
as you can see i am not able to resize the image here is the css code. Aside from that it is also overlapping some text
here is the image without the picture without the image
How can i resize the image properly that it will follow the the height of single item and at the same time equate its width to its height
Thank you very much
In my experience, a div with
background:url([imagepath]);background-size:cover;
is the best solution, the css property:
object-fit: cover;
Can help if you want to preseve the img aproach, but is less backwards compatible.
As for the overlaping text, read the documentation for z-index css property.
You will need to apply the background-image as an inline style. You can then add background-size: cover; onto .singleItem in css to control the background image size.
.itemImage{
height:100%;
width :100%;
}
.itemImage img{
width: 60%;
left: 0px;
right: 0px;
}
.itemName{
color: red;
text-decoration: none;
font-family: "Roboto",sans-serif;
font-size: 150%;
font-weight: bold;
margin-left: 40%;
margin-top: 4%;
}
.itemPrice{
color: black;
text-decoration: none;
font-family: "Roboto",sans-serif;
font-size: 110%;
margin-left: 41%;
position: absolute;
bottom: 25%;
z-index -1;
}
.singleItem{
width: 48%;
background-color: #e0dede;
background-size: cover;
border:1px solid red;
height: 150px;
position: relative;
z-index: -1;
}
echo "
<div class='rowItem'>
<div class='singleItem' style='background-image: url(\"{$arr3[$i]}\");'>

<div class='itemPrice'><br> Php{$arr2[$i]}
<div class='orderButtonDiv'><a href='menu_burger.php'>ORDER</a></div>

I have images in a file with its name in the database. And I would like to display it in a responsive list. But I would like to add for each image an icon in a corner (or text below the frame) of the image to remove it if necessary. here is my html and php code
<?php
$sqlimage = "SELECT * FROM images where `id_user` = '".$customer_id."'";
$result = mysqli_query($conn, $sqlimage);
foreach ($result as $imageShow) {
?>
<div class="container">
<h1>Image Galerry</h1>
<div class="image-container">
<div class="image">
<img src="<?php echo 'Media/'.$imageShow['file_name'] ?>" alt="">
<div>
<i class='fa fa-trash' style='color: red'></i>
</div>
</div>
<div class="linkDelete"
style="font-size: 13px;position:absolute;text-align:center; width:26px; padding-top:3px">
Delete
</div>
<?php
}
mysqli_close($conn);
?>
</div>
<div class="popup-image">
<span>×</span>
<img src="Media/3-20220714-68033.jpg" alt="">

I would like to have an image and on this image there is the icon which tells me the link to delete which is already prepared
I tried several ways but each time I find the icon in a position since the images with different dimensions.
If there was a possibility if not below the image a link to delete it and thank you in advance.
Set position: relative; on .image. Then set a class on the parent div for the icon. I called it .icon-wrapper. Set this parent to position: absolute; with top: 0;. Then you can use width and height: 100%; so it falls directly on top of your .image div.
Then you can use display: flex; with align-items: center; and justify-content: center; on .icon.wrapper to align the icon vertically and horizontally.

Thanks for adding the delete icon. But this one blocked me from displaying the full size image when I click inside the photo (the popup-image class action).
In the CSS

I have figured out a new problem in TCPDF (new for me), ie I can't place elements next to each other. I have tried so many solutions but they were zero in the end. Seems like TCPDF doesn't support the converting from all the css attributes. Hope you can help ;)
The code I had tried:
<style>
.protHeader{
position: relative;
border: 2px solid black;
display: table;
height: 250px !important;
}
.protHeader div{
width: 100%;
}
.protHeader div img{
position: relative;
display: inline-block;
float: left;
height: 100px;
overflow: hidden;
}
.protHeader div a{
position: relative;
display: inline-block;
text-align: right;
horiz-align: right;
overflow: hidden;
float: right;
font-weight: bold;
font-size: 50px;
width: 40% !important;
}
</style>
And the html:
<div class="protHeader">
<div class="fl_left">
<div style="border: 1px solid black;"><img src="$LogoN"></div>
<div style="border: 1px solid black;"><a>$protocol</a></div>
</div>
</div>
Thanks in advance for the answers!
Maybe this is your problem:
You are adding this:
.protHeader div{
width: 100%;
}
that means, that every <div> in your class .protHeader has 100% width.
EDIT: (i change the last part of the css and colored the inline-block divs red, for viewing that they should stay next each other)
Try to remove this line or change your styling to:
.protHeader{
position: relative;
border: 2px solid black;
display: table;
height: 250px !important;
}
.protHeader .fl_left{
width: 100%;
}
.protHeader div img{
position: relative;
display: inline-block;
float: left;
height: 100px;
overflow: hidden;
}
.protHeader div a{
position: relative;
display: inline-block;
text-align: right;
overflow: hidden;
float: right;
font-weight: bold;
font-size: 50px;
width: 40% !important;
}
.protHeader .fl_left div {
background-color: red;
display: inline-block;
}
<div class="protHeader">
<div class="fl_left">
<div style="border: 1px solid black;"><img src="$LogoN"></div>
<div style="border: 1px solid black;"><a>$protocol</a></div>
</div>
</div>
Okay, found a method, I had changed the whole framework to another (dompdf), which is easier to use and supports the newer CSS too.
I'm currently developing a wordpress theme with PHP, but my problem is with the css. I have tree divs, which i have inside a parent div. The parents div is by default 100%, so i want to specify the parent div (class: "single-general-sec1"). I've tried to calculate how wide the parent div should be in order for me to center it, but my calculations do not work. Please help.
Parent div should, by my calculation, be: 61% + 425px, but that dosen't work.
.single-general-sec1 {
margin-top: 150px;
margin-bottom: 150px;
height: auto;
width: calc(61% + 425px);
background-color: red;
}
.single-btype-div {
width: 250px;
display: inline-block;
float: left;
}
.single-gen-header {
font-size: 14px;
color: #D9D9D9;
font-family: "Roboto";
font-weight: 700;
text-transform: uppercase;
letter-spacing: 3px;
margin: 0;
width: auto;
}
.single-gen-desc {
color: #000;
font-family: "Roboto";
font-size: 28px;
font-weight: 300;
letter-spacing: 3px;
margin: 0;
width: auto;
margin-top: 5px;
}
.single-description-div {
width: 55%;
display: inline-block;
margin-left: 3%;
float: left;
}
.single-description-desc {
color: #000;
font-family: "Roboto";
font-size: 20px;
font-weight: 300;
letter-spacing: 1px;
margin: 0;
width: auto;
margin-top: 5px;
}
.single-live-button {
margin-top: 5px;
width: 175px;
height: 40px;
background-color: #8AA6B6;
border-radius: 8px;
border: none;
color: #fff;
font-size: 15px;
font-family: "Roboto";
font-weight: 300;
letter-spacing: 2px;
text-transform: uppercase;
}
.single-live-div {
width: 100px;
display: inline-block;
margin-left: 3%;
}
<div class="single-general-sec1">
<div class="single-btype-div">
<p class="single-gen-header"> - Typ av projekt </p>
<p class="single-gen-desc">
<?php the_field('project-type'); ?> </p>
</div>
<div class="single-description-div">
<p class="single-gen-header"> - Beskrivning </p>
<p class="single-description-desc">
<?php the_field('description'); ?> </p>
</div>
<div class="single-live-div">
<p class="single-gen-header"> - Se live </p>
<a href="<?php the_field('page-url') ?>"><button class="single-live-button">
Besök sida > </button></a>
</div>
</div>
You cannot center a div using % values for width. Also the calculation is wrong: 250px + 175px + 100px = 525px so, the parent div should be 525px in order to fit nested divs. But you should normalize HTML first. Or just use bootstrap.css.
Another thing. For center a div you can use display:inline-block then on his parent use text-align:center.
Or when you have a fixed width, margin:50px auto;
I tried searching and using the codes I found somewhere else where it suggests to put:
margin:0px;
, but it still doesn't resolve my issue about the GAP created between the divs of my file. Here's the code: [The first one's the Jquery, the second is for the CSS, and the last one is the body.]
jQuery(document).ready(function(){
var navOffset = jQuery(".nav").offset().top;
jQuery(".nav").wrap('<div class="nav-placeholder"></div>');
jQuery(".nav-placeholder").height(jQuery(".nav").outerHeight());
jQuery(window).scroll(function(){
var scrollPos = jQuery(window).scrollTop();
if(scrollPos >= navOffset){
jQuery(".nav").addClass("fixed");
}
else{
jQuery(".nav").removeClass("fixed");
}
});
});
body, html {

Couple of reasons:
p element has margins.
.nav-placeholder class has margin-bottom: 40px;
ul.header (which should be div.header) is displayed as
inline-block and pushes its parent height - leave its default
display as block.
if you are referring to the gap between your nav links, it is because display: inline-block; creates a gap by inserting a space between the elements. One solution to fix this is to set the parent container font-size: 0;.
.nav{
font-size: 0;
}
https://jsfiddle.net/unueg9zL/
The <p> you are adding inside #content is adding the gap, p elements have a default margin=1em (added by the browsers). You should set that margin to 0px explicitly on your CSS rules
#content p {margin:0}

I have been using PHP and ImageMagick for to generate a 3D preview of a canvas print (see image below).
There are options to change the edge type, depth, size etc which are AJAX calls to a PHP support file which re-renders the preview with new settings and I reload it into the DOM.
This is starting to overload our server when busy. So I thought I could do this in CSS3 and do all the preview rendering client-side instead.
Here's what I have so far:
<div class="wrapper">
<div class="inner">
<div>
<img src="http://lorempixel.com/200/200/nature" alt="Nature">
</div>
</div>
</div>
.wrapper {
perspective: 500px;
margin: 4em auto;
width: 37em;
}
.inner {
transform: rotateY(40deg);
}
.inner div {
width: 11em;
display: inline-block;
margin-right: 1em;
}
.inner img {
display: block;
height: auto;
max-width: 100%;
margin: 0 auto;
}
The problem I am having is wrapping the image around the edges like in the image above. How can I do this?
I have done a demo, with 2 elements holding the same image.
Just set the image origin on them accordingly to the dimension, and it will match.
.main {
width: 400px;
height: 300px;
border: solid 1px red;
background-image: url(http://lorempixel.com/400/300);
background-size: 0px 0px;
perspective: 500px;
position: relative;
}
.front {
position: absolute;
width: 360px;
height: 100%;
left: 40px;
top: 0px;
transform: rotateY(45deg);
transform-origin: left center;
background-image: inherit;
background-position: -40px 0px;
}
.side {
position: absolute;
width: 40px;
height: 100%;
left: 0px;
top: 0px;
transform: rotateY(-45deg);
transform-origin: right center;
background-image: inherit;
background-position: 0px 0px;
}
<div class="main">
<div class="side"></div>
<div class="front"></div>
</div>
