but sometime its not working, images are not storing. Im using heroku as host.
Try to use Storage facade :
$path = \Storage::putFile('images', $request->file('image'));
Laravel will generate a name automatically, About Storage facade, just see this. :)
I made function for upload file and if there is no uploaded file do it again till its upload
$imageFile->move($destinationFolder, $fileName);
if(file_exists(public_path('images') . '/' . $fileName))
return public_path('images') . '/' . $fileName;

I'm trying to integrate Intervention/Image into my laravel project to create a thumbnail upon uploading an image.
The image upload itself works fine, it doesn't seem to have any issue recognizing Intervention itself.
Below is the code block. The error seems to happen on the line with the save statement, I'm able to die and dump the contents of $img after it's set.

This is the error I'm getting:
SplFileInfo::getSize(): stat failed for /private/var/folders/87/p5x7mgy914qg9ytf2zccc6q00000gn/T/php3lshFS
After some searching I've found that this could be related to file size upload limits, but I've altered my php.ini file (all of this is local btw) to accept 20MB files and the file I'm trying to upload is less than 100kb. I've also reset both php through homebrew and apache. Still getting the error.
Is there any glaringly obvious issues in my use of Intervention? I'll happily provide more info, this is in the store function in one of my controllers btw.

I have deployed a Laravel project in a shared hosting. I have changed my .env file and copied all files from the public folder to the main directory and deleted the public folder. Now the problem is, whenever I am trying to upload an image, I am getting an internal server error. I suppose the problem is the Image Intervention is not getting the right folder to save the image. I have tried the both ways given below:

Use laravel base_path function, so your code will look like this

You can use the exact same way, but replace public_path() with storage_path(). This will link to the storage folder for this application.
$destinationPath = storage_path() . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . 'temp';

for updating my image which is work but as you see I have Storage::delete($oldFilename); this part doesn't work and just keep the old image.
what do you think is issue of that?
Solved:
The issue was Filesystem.php I made my local root set to 'root' => public_path('avatars/'), and changed all my functions in my app because no way to save images in sub-folders and delete them just can save in sub-folders.
then my update function become like this:

$filename = 'sitelogo' . '-' . time() . '.' . $avatar->getClientOriginalExtension();

Since, You have stored logo file name only not full path of file,
You need to give full path from public folder to delete image. Change delete line as:
if ($request->hasFile('logo')) {
$avatar = $request->file('logo');

$request->file('logo')->move($location, $filename);
$oldFilename = $general_Settings->logo;

I am trying to upload a file using laravel Storage i.e
$request->file('input_field_name')->store('directory_name'); but it is saving the file in specified directory with random string name.
Now I want to save the uploaded file with custom name i.e current timestamp concatenate with actual file name. Is there any fastest and simplest way to achive this functionality.
Use storeAs() instead:
