composer require hangs and then returns KILLED - php

I'm trying to simply install a package to my project by running
composer clearcache
php -d memory_limit=8G /usr/local/bin/composer require ratchet/pawl -vvv
So it starts the process and then gets killed at same point everytime.

I'm using MacOS and Docker (Laradock).
Also, I've already tried to clear compose cache and add memory to composer command.
Am I doing something wrong?

Now Just
composer install
it will automatically install your ratchet/pawl package. Because you write it on your composer.json file
"require": {
//your_other_important_things
"ratchet/pawl": "^0.3.4",
},

Error while doing composer install/composer install --ignore-platform-reqs

So when I finished the clone project, then I did

Help,Where is the fault? And how to fix it. Thankyou!

composer global require fails where non global equivalent succeeds

Im developing a package available at packagist as user/package. Installing it locally works just fine
composer require user/package
Creating a new project is also fine
composer create-project --prefer-dist user/package new-project
But the package is to be deployed globally
composer global require user/package
however this results in the following error log.
Changed current directory to /home/anders/.composer ./composer.json
has been updated Loading composer repositories with package

How can this be?
I have tried composer global clearcache
Deleted a composer.lock file I found directly under /home/anders/.composer/
Upgraded my dependencies (Laravel) from 5.5.x to 5.6.x with no effect
Even creating a fresh "laravel new blog" project and uploading to packagist fails with the same error message.
Here is my composer.json

If this is standalone tool, you should consider building PHAR for it. You can use kherge/box to simplify build process.
PHAR archive is completely standalone, so you'll get rid of all problems with conflicting global dependencies. It may also simplify installation (you need to just download archive and make it executable) for both global and local installation.

Dependencies not picked up after composer update/install

I am using the following image in my deploy script
image: php:7-fpm
and then do some typical stuff to install my composer dependencies:
script:
- apt-get update && apt-get install -y unzip python-dev git
- apt-get install -qy git curl libmcrypt-dev mysql-client
- docker-php-ext-install mcrypt && docker-php-ext-install pdo_mysql
- apt-get install -y curl software-properties-common gnupg
- ./install-composer.sh
- composer install
Issue is that while I see in the console the packages being installed, when I login to the server and go to the vendor dir then the new package (aws-sdk-php) is not in there.
Installing aws/aws-sdk-php (dev-master 86d1892): 100%
What goes wrong here?

Hey dont know much about the aws thing but you are trying to load the php package for the awsin laravel. Though laravel is a framework for php but the aws package gives special package for laravel. This is the package "aws/aws-sdk-php": "dev-master" you stated in your composer.json.
Instead include this "aws/aws-sdk-php-laravel": "~3.0" package into your composer.json. This is specially crafted for laravel. After including run composer update and see if the package gets included in the vendor directory or not.
Link of respected package at packagist.

Hope it helps.

$ composer update

Illuminate\Foundation\ComposerScripts::postAutoloadDump
/usr/local/bin/php artisan package:discover
The system cannot find the path specified.
Script /usr/local/bin/php artisan package:discover handling the post-autoload-dump event returned with error code 1
after you install all packages run
composer dumpautoload
packages
composer require guzzlehttp/guzzle-services
composer require paypal/rest-api-sdk-php
composer dumpautoload
Rather than manually writing the composer.json, try installing and adding them with the specific commands. Like this.
composer require paypal/rest-api-sdk-php
composer require guzzlehttp/guzzle
That way, you'll avoid any typos and composer.json file will be kept as pure as possible.
Try this composer require paypal/rest-api-sdk-php
Ref: https://packagist.org/packages/paypal/rest-api-sdk-php
Edit:
remove the paypal/rest-api-sdk-php on the composer.json and the guzzle then try this
composer require guzzlehttp/guzzle

I ran have tried to deploy about a couple of dozens time after using composer install, composer update, composer update --lock and I even deleted the composer.lock file and ran composer update again but this error is not going anywhere. Please help!
It turned out that my vendor folder was not listed in .gitignore files and it was being pushed along with the other files on heroku. Once I added the vendor folder to .gitignore everything started working seamlessly.
