Parsing a SOAP response - php

I have been spending hours trying to parse a SOAP response that I have no control over. I have tried numerous methods I found on SO with no luck.
Here is the response body I get from edge browser:
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
<SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<SOAP-ENV:Body>
<ns1:gXMLQueryResponse xmlns:ns1="urn:com-photomask-feconnect-IFeConnect" SOAP-ENV:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">
<return xsi:type="xsd:string"><?xml version = &apos;1.0&apos; encoding = &apos;UTF-8&apos;?>
<ROWSET>
<ROW num="1">
<CUSTOMER_NAME>HITACHI</CUSTOMER_NAME>
</ROW>
</ROWSET>
</return>
</ns1:gXMLQueryResponse>
</SOAP-ENV:Body>
</SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
I'm trying to get the CUSTOMER_NAME value.
Here is the code I am using:
$client = new SoapClient($urla, array('trace' => 1));
try {
$result = $client->__soapCall("gXMLQuery", $params);
$response = ($client->__getLastResponse());
$xml = simplexml_load_string($response);
$rows = $xml->children('SOAP-ENV', true)->Body->children('ns1', true)->gXMLQueryResponse->return->ROWSET->ROW;
foreach ($rows as $row)
{
$customer = $row->CUSTOMER_NAME;
echo $customer;
}
} catch (SoapFault $e) {
}

return is a string, you need to parse it first before you can access it using SimpleXML.
First you need to decode the string using html_entity_decode, after that you can load the decoded string with simplexml_load_string:
$return = $xml->children('SOAP-ENV', true)->Body->children('ns1', true)->gXMLQueryResponse->return;
$decodedReturn = html_entity_decode($return, ENT_QUOTES | ENT_XML1, 'UTF-8');
$rowset = simplexml_load_string($decodedReturn);
echo $rowset->ROW->CUSTOMER_NAME;

Get value from json response with SOAP request

After successfully getting a response from a SOAP request in JSON format, I cannot extract one property out of it.
Beholde the response I got from postman.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<soap:Body>
<AutenticacionResponse xmlns="https://figs.software/">
<AutenticacionResult xsi:type="xsd:string">{"CodRespuesta":"00","Respuesta":"bd026f95-61cf-4947-80df-bf519d544995","URL":null,"NCF":null}</AutenticacionResult>
</AutenticacionResponse>
</soap:Body>
</soap:Envelope>
My goad is to get the token of the Respuesta property.
I'm using curl of PHP to establish the connection:
I try to convert the response I got into an array like this:
$response = preg_replace("/(<\/?)(\w+):([^>]*>)/", "$1$2$3", $response);
$xml = new SimpleXMLElement($response);
$body = $xml->xpath('//soapBody ')[0];
$array = json_decode(json_encode((array)$body), TRUE);
echo $array['AutenticacionResponse']['AutenticacionResult'];
echo gettype($array);
I have this result:
{"CodRespuesta":"00","Respuesta":"d5810796-9563-4423-aff3-089d61e170b6","URL":null,"NCF":null}
array
How can I get the value of Respuesta ?
Without touching your code I get the answer by just doing
$json = json_decode($array['AutenticacionResponse']['AutenticacionResult'], true);
echo $json['Respuesta'];
And I would have done like this
<?php
$response = <<<XML
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<soap:Body>
<AutenticacionResponse xmlns="https://figs.software/">
<AutenticacionResult xsi:type="xsd:string">{"CodRespuesta":"00","Respuesta":"bd026f95-61cf-4947-80df-bf519d544995","URL":null,"NCF":null}</AutenticacionResult>
</AutenticacionResponse>
</soap:Body>
</soap:Envelope>
XML;
$response = preg_replace("/(<\/?)(\w+):([^>]*>)/", "$1$2$3", $response);
$xml = new SimpleXMLElement($response);
$json = json_decode($xml->soapBody->AutenticacionResponse->AutenticacionResult, true);
echo $json['Respuesta'];

Extract value from xml tag

I´m trying to extract the RecordID = "1014276" from a tag
I tried with :
$result = curl_exec($ch);
curl_close($ch);
$xml2 = simplexml_load_string($result);
echo $latitude = (string) $xml2['RecordID'];
This is the XML response:
<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
<soap:Body>
<ns1:createDataResponse xmlns:ns1="http://3e.pl/ADInterface">
<StandardResponse RecordID="1014276" xmlns="http://3e.pl/ADInterface"/>
</ns1:createDataResponse>
</soap:Body>
</soap:Envelope>
This involves a bit more than just accessing the attribute, first you have to select the correct element. Using XPath is the most comment way in this sort of structure.
As this has a default namespace defined for the data, you will need to register this with the SimpleXMLElement first (using $xml2->registerXPathNamespace("ns1","http://3e.pl/ADInterface");.
You can then find the element using the XPAth expression //ns1:StandardResponse. As the xpath() method returns a list of found elements, use [0] to just extract the first match. You should then be able to extract the attribute as in your code using the resultant element...
$xml2 = simplexml_load_string($result);
$xml2->registerXPathNamespace("ns1","http://3e.pl/ADInterface");
$response = $xml2->xpath("//ns1:StandardResponse")[0];
echo (string) $response['RecordID'];
You can apporach this as
$xml = '<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
<soap:Body>
<ns1:createDataResponse xmlns:ns1="http://3e.pl/ADInterface">
<StandardResponse RecordID="1014276" xmlns="http://3e.pl/ADInterface"/>
</ns1:createDataResponse>
</soap:Body>
</soap:Envelope>';
$p = xml_parser_create();
xml_parse_into_struct($p, $xml, $values, $index);
xml_parser_free($p);
echo $values[3]['attributes']['RECORDID'];

SOAP response - parsing xml in php, how to access?

I have response from webservice:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:ns1="http://tempuri.org/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
<SOAP-ENV:Body>
<ns1:H1 xsi:type="ns1:H1">
<BOGUS>
<time>1411967345</time>
<status>1</status>
<speed>0</speed>
</BOGUS>
<BOGUS>
<time>1411964888</time>
<status>10</status>
<speed>0</speed>
</BOGUS>
</ns1:H1>
</SOAP-ENV:Body>
</SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
How can I access to element time or status in BOGUS[0] or BOGUS[1]?
I tried this:
$soap = simplexml_load_string($str);
$response = $soap->children('http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/')->Body->children('http://tempuri.org/')->H1;
$time = $response->BOGUS[1]->time;
echo $time;
, but it's not working. Returns: Notice: Trying to get property of non-object
tempuri.org is right. I pasted xml response on: xmlgrid.net and got correct tree.
I'd recommandate to use Zend Soap Client for PHP. There u can do like this:
$client = new Zend_Soap_Client("MyService.wsdl");
$result = $client->yourMethod(<YouParameters ...>);
echo $result->H1->BOGUS[1]->time;
See:
http://framework.zend.com/manual/1.12/de/zend.soap.client.html
You can do it by loops as you are getting array in return
foreach ($response as $res)
{
$time = $res->BOGUS[1]->time;
echo $time;
}

soap:Envelope SOAP-ENV:Envelope PHP

I'm trying to login to an API using built-in soap functions of PHP. I got a result like this.
[LoginResult]=> false,
[ErrorMsg] => Login failed with the reason : The security object is invalid
This is what required by the API provider.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<soap:Body>
<Login xmlns="http://tempuri.org/Example/Service1">
<objSecurity>
<WebProviderLoginId>test</WebProviderLoginId>
<WebProviderPassword>test</WebProviderPassword>
<IsAgent>false</IsAgent>
</objSecurity>
<OutPut />
<ErrorMsg />
</Login>
</soap:Body>
</soap:Envelope>
&, here is what I was able to produce using functions.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:ns1="http://tempuri.org/Example/Service1">
<SOAP-ENV:Body>
<ns1:Login>
<objSecurity>
<WebProviderLoginId>test</WebProviderLoginId>
<WebProviderPassword>test</WebProviderPassword>
<IsAgent>false</IsAgent>
</objSecurity>
<OutPut/>
<ErrorMsg/>
</ns1:Login>
</SOAP-ENV:Body>
</SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
Here is the code I used to send the request.
<?php
class objSecurity {
function objSecurity($s, $i, $f) {
$this->WebProviderLoginId = $s;
$this->WebProviderPassword = $i;
$this->IsAgent = $f;
}
}
class nextObject {
function nextObject($objSecurity) {
$this->objSecurity=$pobjSecurity;
$this->OutPut=NULL;
$this->ErrorMsg=NULL;
}
}
$url = 'http://example.com/sampleapi/test.asmx?WSDL';
$client = new SoapClient($url, array("soap_version" => SOAP_1_1,"trace" => 1));
$struct = new objSecurity('test', 'test', false);
$data = new nextObject($struct);
$soapstruct2 = new SoapVar($data, SOAP_ENC_OBJECT);
print_r(
$client->__soapCall(
"Login",
array(new SoapParam($soapstruct2, "inputStruct"))
)
);
echo $client->__getLastRequest();
?>
These are the differences I found.
In my request xmlns:xsi is missing.
Requirement starts with <soap:Envelope, But my request starts with <SOAP-ENV:Envelope.
There is an extra xmlns:ns1 in my request.
& The function name tag starts with ns1:.
Please help me to make my request into the required format.
I don't know much about the SOAP and I'm using PHP version 5.3.13 with CakePHP 2.3.0. Sorry, for my bad English.
Here is the solution. :)
<?php
$url = 'http://example.com/sampleapi/test.asmx?WSDL';
$client = new SoapClient($url, array("soap_version" => SOAP_1_1,"trace" => 1));
$user_param = array (
'WebProviderLoginId' => "test",
'WebProviderPassword' => "test",
'IsAgent' => false
);
$service_param = array (
'objSecurity' => $user_param,
"OutPut" => NULL,
"ErrorMsg" => NULL
);
print_r(
$client->__soapCall(
"Login",
array($service_param)
)
);
echo $client->__getLastRequest();
?>
& the request was:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:ns1="http://tempuri.org/Example/Service1">
<SOAP-ENV:Body>
<ns1:Login>
<ns1:objSecurity>
<ns1:WebProviderLoginId>test</ns1:WebProviderLoginId>
<ns1:WebProviderPassword>test</ns1:WebProviderPassword>
<ns1:IsAgent>false</ns1:IsAgent>
</ns1:objSecurity>
</ns1:Login>
</SOAP-ENV:Body>
</SOAP-ENV:Envelope>

PHP SOAP Request not right

PHP SOAP client not sending parameters correctly. xsi:nil="true" instead of value

I am trying to consume a web service with no success. It looks like the xml is no properly set.
This is my PHP code:
<?php
$wsdlUrl = "http://api.clickatell.com/soap/webservice.php?WSDL";
$serviceUrl = "http://api.clickatell.com/soap/webservice.php";
$request = array("user"=>"anyuser",
"password"=>"asdsda",
"api_id"=>"1234"
);
var_dump($request);
try {
$client = new SoapClient($wsdlUrl, array("trace" => 1, "location" => $serviceUrl));
var_dump($client);
echo "\n";
$response = $client->auth($request);
var_dump($response);
var_dump($client->__getLastRequest());
echo "\n";
}
catch(Exception $exp) {
echo "EXCEPTION";
}
?>
And the SOAP packet is:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:ns1="http://api.clickatell.com/soap/webservice" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" SOAP-ENV:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">
<SOAP-ENV:Body>
<ns1:auth>
<api_id xsi:type="xsd:int">1</api_id>
<user xsi:nil="true"/>
<password xsi:nil="true"/>
</ns1:auth>
</SOAP-ENV:Body>
</SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
What is wrong with the code that causes that api_id, user and password are not being sent?
If you check out var_dump($client->__getFunctions()), you can see, that the parameters have to be passed like with a normal function call.
So you could do either the verbose thing with SoapParam:
$response = $client->auth(
new SoapParam($request["api_id"], "api_id"),
new SoapParam($request["user"], "user"),
new SoapParam($request["password"], "password")
);
Or less verbose by just giving the parameters directly:
$response = $client->auth($request["api_id"],
$request["user"], $request["password"]);
