First time asking a question here. I have a small virtual machine running Windows 10. I've tried to set up a nginx server with PHP and MySQL Workbench. So far nginx default page works and so does MySQL Workbench, but when I try to edit the nginx.conf file to change the name of the server, it returns the following error:
[error] 7896#480: *7 access forbidden by rule, client: 127.0.0.1, server: web.prueba.local, request: "GET / HTTP/1.1", host: "web.prueba.local"
The insides my nginx.conf file are the following:
#user nobody;
worker_processes 1;
#error_log logs/error.log;
#error_log logs/error.log notice;
#error_log logs/error.log info;
#pid logs/nginx.pid;
events {
worker_connections 1024;
}
http {
include mime.types;
default_type application/octet-stream;
sendfile on;
keepalive_timeout 65;
server {
listen *:80;
server_name web.prueba.local;
location / {
root html;
index index.php index.html index.htm;
}
error_page 500 502 503 504 /50x.html;
location = /50x.html {

}
location ~ \.php$ {

fastcgi_index index.php;
fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME /scripts$fastcgi_script_name;

}
}
# another virtual host using mix of IP-, name-, and port-based configuration
#
#server {
# listen 8000;

I have been looking around for a fix for hours now but nothing seems to do. It loads HTML files just fine, but when it comes to PHP files, it gives me this error. Sometimes it also gives me 405 error but I think I fixed that. and sometimes it starts to download the PHP file instead of executing it.
Here is the nginx.conf file:

I wanna set up nginx server to work with PHP and MySQL. To do so, I have:
Downloaded nginx files, unzipped it (C:/nginx/)
Downloaded PHP binaries and put them inside C:/nginx/php/
Changed C:/nginx/conf/nginx.conf to
worker_processes 1;
#error_log logs/error.log;
#error_log logs/error.log notice;
#error_log logs/error.log info;
#pid logs/nginx.pid;

And unfortunately, I can't get .php files to working. Trying to run one only displays "Sorry, the page you are looking for is currently unavailable." message.
I have clean environment, so all I have is nginx and php...What's wrong here?
You need to install php-fpm for running php in nginx. You also need t change this line
fastcgi_pass 127.0.0.1:9000;
to this one
fastcgi_pass unix:/var/run/php5-fpm.sock;
Change to this unix:/var/run/php5-fpm.sock; to php-fpm sock file path.
I can't run index.php file on nginx local server. When I try to I get 403 "forbidden error". The configuration is default, but changing it doesn't work either. I've tried:
#user nobody;
worker_processes 1;
#error_log logs/error.log;
#error_log logs/error.log notice;
#error_log logs/error.log info;
#pid logs/nginx.pid;

Html files seem to work normally...What's wrong here?
Try to change your permissions attributes folder.
Because you have an 403 forbidden error.
Allow access everyone to the folder.
i just installed nginx on my windows machine.
I want it to run php scripts. So I installed php with fast-cgi and run it.
I created an index.php in html folder i can see php info page.
but when i want to use php and tring to open (e.g mysite.com/test.php/test.zip) and download it but its show 404 not found. this is my nginx config
