I have a SQL Query result (array): "title", "content" and "name"
Here is my var_dump:
array(28) {
[0]=>
array(3) {
["title"]=>
string(10) "Basis Task"
["content"]=>
string(43) "https://www.wrike.com/open.htm?id=440908999"
["name"]=>
string(14) "Christian Wahl"
}
[1]=>
array(3) {
["title"]=>
string(10) "Basis Task"
["content"]=>
string(5) "MySQL"
["name"]=>
string(14) "Christian Wahl"
}
[2]=>
array(3) {
["title"]=>
string(4) "Test"
["content"]=>
string(3) "PHP"
["name"]=>
string(14) "Christian Wahl"
}
[3]=>
array(3) {
["title"]=>
string(4) "Test"
["content"]=>
string(3) "PHP"
["name"]=>
string(14) "Christian Wahl"
}
[4]=>
array(3) {
["title"]=>
string(10) "Basis Task"
["content"]=>
string(7) "content"
["name"]=>
string(9) "Elena Ott"
}
(I cut off the end of the array to make it a little clearer to see)
These are Tasks who are assigned to a User.
Now i want to output the "Name" (panel-heading)
and the "title" and "content" (panel-body).
It should look smth like this but for each given name:
how it should look like
I tried to find a solution on my own, but without success :(
I hope u can help me?
thx a lot
-Taddl
just loop on your data and render it
$data = [];
foreach ($databaseResult as $row) {
$data[$row['name']][] = $row;
}
foreach($data as $name => $stuff) {
echo $name . '<br>';
foreach($stuff as $row) {
echo $row["title"] . ':' . $row["content"] . '<BR>';
}
}
You can use foreach loop. As example:
foreach($yourarrayvariable as $data)
{
echo "<tr>";
echo "<td class='heading'>".$data['name']."</td>";
echo "<div class='content'>";
echo "<td>".$data['title']."</td>";
echo "<td>".$data['content']."</td>";
echo "</div>";
echo "</tr>";
}
And create your desired template look classes as per your need inside foreach.

I want to be able to run through the array, and print the destination address and the distance and time values.
This prints the destination addresses ok:
$length=count($properties);
for($a=0;$a<$length;$a++)
{
echo '</br>Index is ' . $a . ' | id is ' . $index[$a] . ' | destination is ' . $properties["destination_addresses"][$a] . ' | time is ';
}
But I can't figure out how to print the rest. I've been banging my head against the wall all night!
Thank you in anticipation.
To loop over all these journeys and print the distance and time for each potential journey, create a foreach loop and then use the $idx to address the subordinate parts of the muleiple arrays
foreach( $destination['destination_addresses'] as $idx => $to ) {
if ( $destination['rows'][0]['elements'][$idx]['status'] == 'OK' ) {
echo 'Going from ' . $destination['origin_addresses'][0];
echo ' To ' . $to;
echo ' Distance ' . $destination['rows'][0]['elements'][$idx]['distance']['text'];
echo ' Duration ' . $destination['rows'][0]['elements'][$idx]['duration']['text'];
} else {
//whatever you do if the status is not OK
}
}
Im trying many days now to select data from this db
[1]: https://i.stack.imgur.com/QA34L.jpg
I want to print for example all comments
echo $comment['username']." | "; \ Alex | Alex
My php code so far:
[![$m= new MongoDB\Client ("mongodb://127.0.0.1/");
$db = $m->stores;
$collection = $db->storeinfo;][1]][1]
$storez = $collection->find(array("Products.pTHUMBNAIL" => $pThumb));
$o=1;
$afm=array();
foreach ($storez as $stor) {
$afm[$o] = $stor['AFM'];
$record = $collection->findOne(array(
"AFM" => $afm[$o],"Products.pTHUMBNAIL" => $pThumb));
foreach ($record['Products'] as $pro){
if($pThumb == $pro['pTHUMBNAIL']){
echo $temp = $pro['pID']." ";
foreach($pro as $pro1['pCOMMENTS']) {
foreach($pro1 as $com['Comment']) {
var_dump($com['Comment']);
/*
foreach($com as $comment) {
echo $comment['username'];
}
*/
}
}
}
}
$o += 1;
}
It seems that i just cannot find the correct foreach to loop through my Comment array
var_dump output:

What about this?
After echo $temp = $pro['pID']." ";
foreach($pro['pCOMMENTS'] as $comments) {
foreach ($comments['Comment'] as $comment) {
echo $comment['text'];
}
}
You used foreach() bad: the index should be added to the first parameter, not in the 'as' part.
Also it helps if you use more clear variable names. That doesn't take too much, but makes it more readable and easy to debug.
After echo $temp = $pro['pID']." ";
foreach($pro['pCOMMENTS'] as $comments) {
foreach($comments as $comment) {
echo $comment['text'];
}
}
I have read other questions regarding reading arrays in PHP and implemented the suggested solutions but these do not seem to work for me...
My array looks like this:-
{
[0]=> array(6)
{ ["name"]=> string(9) "Test04Feb" [0]=> string(9) "Test04Feb"
["paymentvalue"]=> string(6) "500.00" [1]=> string(6) "500.00"
["transactiondate"]=> string(19) "2020-02-05 13:29:37" [2]=> string(19) "2020-02-05 13:29:37"
}
[1]=> array(6)
{ ["name"]=> string(9) "Test04Feb" [0]=> string(9) "Test04Feb"
["paymentvalue"]=> string(7) "1500.00" [1]=> string(7) "1500.00"
["transactiondate"]=> string(19) "1970-01-01 05:30:00" [2]=> string(19) "1970-01-01 05:30:00"
}
[2]=> array(6)
{ ["name"]=> string(9) "Test04Feb" [0]=> string(9) "Test04Feb"
["paymentvalue"]=> string(5) "90.00" [1]=> string(5) "90.00"
["transactiondate"]=> string(19) "2020-02-05 18:12:18" [2]=> string(19) "2020-02-05 18:12:18"
}
}
And none of these work for me:-
$stmt1->execute([$myname]);
$value = $stmt1->fetchAll();
...
foreach ($stmt1 as $row1) {
echo $row1[0]->name;
echo $row1['0']['transactiondate'];
echo $row1[0]['paymentvalue'];
}
Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.
Using
foreach ($stmt1 as $row1) {
$row1 is each individual record from the database. Therefore, rather than having to use [0] as in your code, you should simply be using...
echo $row1->name;
etc.
To check this for yourself, use something like print_r($row1); in the loop to see what each loop has to work with.
In your case $row1 is an array as indicated in your dump. In foreach should use $value and not $stmt. Then:
foreach ($value as $row1) {
echo $row1['name'];
}
P.S. If you want to get only associative keys, use like this:
$value = $stmt1->fetchAll(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC);
Try this if you are using foreach
foreach ($stmt1 as $row1) {
echo $row1['name'];
}
or you can use
echo $stmt1[0]['name'];
Hope this helps you
array(2) { [0]=> array(2) { ["name"]=> string(16) "Daerah Pertanian" ["sub"]=> array(6) { [0]=> array(2) { ["name"]=> string(5) "Sawah" ["value"]=> string(3) "145" } [1]=> array(2) { ["name"]=> string(18) "Sawah Pasang Surut" ["value"]=> string(3) "455" } [2]=> array(2) { ["name"]=> string(6) "Ladang" ["value"]=> string(3) "678" } [3]=> array(2) { ["name"]=> string(10) "Perkebunan" ["value"]=> string(3) "688" } [4]=> array(2) { ["name"]=> string(19) "Perkebunan Campuran" ["value"]=> string(3) "966" } [5]=> array(2) { ["name"]=> string(16) "Tanaman Campuran" ["value"]=> string(3) "565" } } } [1]=> array(2) { ["name"]=> string(22) "Daerah Bukan Pertanian" ["sub"]=> array(2) { [0]=> array(2) { ["name"]=> string(18) "Hutan Lahan Kering" ["sub"]=> array(2) { [0]=> array(2) { ["name"]=> string(25) "Hutan Lahan Kering Primer" ["value"]=> string(3) "566" } [1]=> array(2) { ["name"]=> string(27) "Hutan Lahan Kering Sekunder" ["value"]=> string(3) "255" } } } [1]=> array(2) { ["name"]=> string(17) "Hutan Lahan Basah" ["sub"]=> array(2) { [0]=> array(1) { ["name"]=> string(24) "Hutan Lahan Basah Primer" } [1]=> array(1) { ["name"]=> string(26) "Hutan Lahan Basah Sekunder" } } } } } }
I have an array like I mention above, so I want to print out every "name" key including the index (number) of it's array parent,
for example when I print out "Tanaman Campuran" so all index parent is (0)(5) and when I print "Hutan Lahan Basah Sekunder" the index parent is (1)(1)(1)
how can I achieve it?
here is some recursive function that I've tried
$GLOBALS['all'] = '';
function printout($arr){
foreach ($arr as $ia=>$a){
if(is_array($a)){
foreach ($a as $ib=>$b){
if(is_array($b)){
printout($b);
}
else{
if ($ib == 'name') {
$GLOBALS['all'] .= $ia;
echo '<tr>';
echo '<td>' . $b . ' (' . $ia . ')</td>';
echo '</tr>';
$GLOBALS['all'] = '';
}
}
}
}
}
}
*sorry for my bad explanation, I hope you guys can understand it
You could use the following function:
function search(array $array, $name)
{
foreach ($array as $key => $entry) {
if ($entry['name'] === $name) {
return [$key];
}
if (isset($entry['sub']) && $found_keys = search($entry['sub'], $name)) {
return array_merge([$key], $found_keys);
}
}
return null;
}
It returns:
if the value was directly found, an array of one containing the associated index,
if it wasn't but was found in any descendant item, an array merging its index with the indices of said descendant,
null if it wasn't found in that part of the tree.
Note: if a given name is present several times, it will only find the first occurrence.

How can I parse this in PHP:
a:8:{s:3:"key";s:19:"field_501743d4baa78";s:5:"label";s:8:"Category";s:4:"name";s:8:"category";s:4:"type";s:8:"checkbox";s:12:"instructions";s:0:"";s:8:"required";s:1:"1";s:7:"choices";a:17:{s:4:"Arts";s:4:"Arts";s:8:"Business";s:8:"Business";s:14:"Communications";s:14:"Communications";s:16:"Criminal Justice";s:16:"Criminal Justice";s:13:"Culinary Arts";s:13:"Culinary Arts";s:9:"Education";s:9:"Education";s:11:"Engineering";s:11:"Engineering";s:11:"Health Care";s:11:"Health Care";s:22:"Information Technology";s:22:"Information Technology";s:13:"International";s:13:"International";s:5:"Legal";s:5:"Legal";s:17:"Political Science";s:17:"Political Science";s:10:"Psychology";s:10:"Psychology";s:8:"Religion";s:8:"Religion";s:7:"Science";s:7:"Science";s:9:"Technical";s:9:"Technical";s:10:"Veterinary";s:10:"Veterinary";}s:8:"order_no";s:1:"3";}
to get a list of all the "categorys" such as Arts, Business, Communications etc etc
Thanks for your help
UPDATE
After running unserialize this is what i get:
array(8) { ["key"]=> string(19) "field_501743d4baa78" ["label"]=> string(8) "Category" ["name"]=> string(8) "category" ["type"]=> string(8) "checkbox" ["instructions"]=> string(0) "" ["required"]=> string(1) "1" ["choices"]=> array(17) { ["Arts"]=> string(4) "Arts" ["Business"]=> string(8) "Business" ["Communications"]=> string(14) "Communications" ["Criminal Justice"]=> string(16) "Criminal Justice" ["Culinary Arts"]=> string(13) "Culinary Arts" ["Education"]=> string(9) "Education" ["Engineering"]=> string(11) "Engineering" ["Health Care"]=> string(11) "Health Care" ["Information Technology"]=> string(22) "Information Technology" ["International"]=> string(13) "International" ["Legal"]=> string(5) "Legal" ["Political Science"]=> string(17) "Political Science" ["Psychology"]=> string(10) "Psychology" ["Religion"]=> string(8) "Religion" ["Science"]=> string(7) "Science" ["Technical"]=> string(9) "Technical" ["Veterinary"]=> string(10) "Veterinary" } ["order_no"]=> string(1) "3" }
however i'm not sure how to loop through and just get the category names - sorry - i'm new to PHP - probably just doing something stupid - thanks for your help
That's just a serialized array. Just unserialize it and getting the values is easy:
$array = unserialize(a:8:{s:3:"key";s:19:"field_501743d4baa78";s:5:"label";s:8:"Category";s:4:"name";s:8:"category";s:4:"type";s:8:"checkbox";s:12:"instructions";s:0:"";s:8:"required";s:1:"1";s:7:"choices";a:17:{s:4:"Arts";s:4:"Arts";s:8:"Business";s:8:"Business";s:14:"Communications";s:14:"Communications";s:16:"Criminal Justice";s:16:"Criminal Justice";s:13:"Culinary Arts";s:13:"Culinary Arts";s:9:"Education";s:9:"Education";s:11:"Engineering";s:11:"Engineering";s:11:"Health Care";s:11:"Health Care";s:22:"Information Technology";s:22:"Information Technology";s:13:"International";s:13:"International";s:5:"Legal";s:5:"Legal";s:17:"Political Science";s:17:"Political Science";s:10:"Psychology";s:10:"Psychology";s:8:"Religion";s:8:"Religion";s:7:"Science";s:7:"Science";s:9:"Technical";s:9:"Technical";s:10:"Veterinary";s:10:"Veterinary";}s:8:"order_no";s:1:"3";});
var_dump($array);
$sample_arr = unserialize($array); //unserialize here
$sample_arr = $sample_arr['choices']; //get the array
then you have the category list saved to $sample_arr.
foreach($sample_arr as $temp) {
//do stuff with each element here
}
Examples include outputting this as a html list
echo '<ul>';
foreach($sample_arr as $temp) {
echo '<li>' . $temp . '</li>';
}
echo '</ul>';
