Check in header if 'thank you' page - Opencart 2 - php

In OpenCart 2, I am editing the appearance/php of the header only in the "success"/"thank you" page (catalog/view/theme/*/template/common/success.tpl).
So, in catalog/view/theme/*/template/common/header.tpl I want to do something like:
if( $is_thank_you_page ){
echo "stuff";
// bonus: I wanted to get the order email but maybe it should be a different post
}
But how can I check in the header.tpl if it is the "success"/"thank you" page?
I tried setting a variable in success.tpl before printing the header with no results.

You could try something like this (go about it based on your URL):
<?php
$parameters = explode('/', $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']);
if(end($parameters) === 'success.tpl'){
//the condition with $parameters depends on the exact look of your URL
//you could also access an index directly
}
Basically, it takes the REQUEST_URI (part after the domain), splits it around the / symbols and then checks if it ends with success.tpl
You could also make a switch for the end($parameters) instead of the if.

I don't know opencart structure, but if this value never change you can try with strpos/stripos, something like:
if(stripos($var_with_page_title, 'thank you') !== false) {
do_something();
}

If you want you detect checkout/success page in you header, do following:
open catalog/controller/common/header.php
find
// Menu
$this->load->model('catalog/category');
Add before
// success page checking
$data['success'] = '';
if (isset($this->request->get['route']) && $this->request->get['route'] == 'checkout/success') {
$data['success'] = true;
}
// looking for email from the order
$data['success_email'] = '';
if ($this->customer->isLogged()) {
$data['success_email'] = $customer_info['email'];
} elseif (isset(this->session->data['guest']['email'])) {
$data['success_email'] = $this->session->data['guest']['email'];
}
Now in catalog/view/theme/YOUR_THEME/template/common/header.tpl
add anywhere you like
<?php if ($success) { ?>
//do something
<?php if ($success_email) { ?><?php echo $success_email; ?><?php } ?>
<?php } ?>
With bonus email

How to redirect a page with variable value if condition is true in php?

how to jump a page if condition true and also i want to sent a variable value to secont page
if(isset($_POST['compair']))
{
$_SESSION['usermail'];
$answer=$_POST['answer'];
if ($answer == $_SESSION['answer'])
{
$mail=$_SESSION['usermail'];(i want to sent "$mail" variable)
header("Location:resetpass.php?value = $mail ");
}
else
{
echo "<script>alert('Please Try again')</script>";
}
}
please also tell me how to receive this variable on second page.
Your solution is correct. Just pay attention to spaces:
header("Location: resetpass.php?value=$mail");
exit; // as suggested by "nogad"
Also make sure that resetpass.php file is in the same directory of current page.
In resetpass.php you can get the variable by $_GET['value'] like:
<?php
if( isset($_GET['value']) ){
$mail = $_GET['value'];
}
After header("Location : resetpass.php?value=$mail");
exit(); // i.e quit the current page and go to resetpass.php
Then at resetpass.php collect $mail using the GET method.
if(isset[$_GET['value'])){
$the_mail = $_GET['value'];
}
I am writing from my handy. So apologies for any layout discripancies

How to condition a user to fill the form than to oppen an specific site up

i have a multi step form and want to condition users on specific sites on my web .
This mean i want that only after submitting my form a client in my case can see the redirected page ,
And that with a kinda tim-out for that page to . this redirected page need to show only to those people who fill the form first even when users copy the link and give that link to somebody else the link should not work or should direction in a error. i have archived the last part partly
Here is all my code :
On the form.php i have this :
<?php
session_start(); $_SESSION['form_finished'] = true;
?>
On the proces.php i have this :
$emotion = $_POST['emotion'];
if($emotion == 'Basic Pack') {
session_start();
$_SESSION['form_finished'] = true;
header('Location: /new/basicc.php');
} elseif($emotion == 'Deluxe Pack') {
header('Location: html6.php');
} elseif($emotion == 'Premium Pack') {
header('Location: html7.php');
}
and destination site in this case basicc.php' this :
<?php
session_start();
if(!$_SESSION['form_finished']) {
header("HTTP/1.0 404 Not Found");
exit;
}
?>
This code is working partly because if the user on the form.php site if he just copy the basicc.php link on the address bar he can see the basic.php site imadtitly without having to fill the form , and i want that to condition him to do that and than the page to show up .
I hope i was clear thanks in advance
If proces.php is where submitting the form redirects then remove $_SESSION['form_finished'] = true; from form.php and keep it in proces.php only.
ETA: For the timer:
<script>
var remainingSeconds = 600; // how many second before redirect
function counter() {
if (remainingSeconds == 0) { clearInterval(countdownTimer); window.open('form.php', '_SELF'); // return to form page
} else { remainingSeconds--; }
}
var countdownTimer = setInterval('counter()', 1000); // 1000 is the interval for counting down, in this case 1 second
</script>
In this case, you will have to add back the statement in form.php but set it to false $_SESSION['form_finished'] = false;
ETA2: Forgot to mention that you should also add $_SESSION['form_finished'] = false; in basicc.php.
Yes you could just use a simple session for this case. Example:
If in your form action, if the form processing is in process.php. You could initialize there the session.
session_start();
$emotion = $_POST['emotion'];
$_SESSION['form_finished'] = true; // set session
// then your other process etc. etc.
if($emotion == 'Basic Pack') {
header('Location: /new/basicc.php');
} elseif($emotion == 'Deluxe Pack') {
header('Location: html6.php');
} elseif($emotion == 'Premium Pack') {
header('Location: html7.php');
}
And then on the destination files: /new/basicc.php and others, check that session existence:
/new/basicc.php and others:
if(isset($_SESSION['form_finished'])) { // so after redirection check this
//
// hello, i came from process.php
unset($_SESSION['form_finished']); // and then UNSET it! this is important
} else {
echo 'not allowed'; // if this is not set, the page is directly accessed, not allowed
exit;
}
I think the best solution is that you should only use one page, no need for sessions ;)
Try to have a particular variable set to false, send your form to the server using a POST method <form method=post> and on your server, change this variable to true and render the same page again.
In the example below, I'm checking if the user has entered his name in the form. ;)
<!-- In form.php -->
<?php
$formSubmitted = false;
if ($_SERVER['REQUEST_METHOD'] === 'POST' && isset($_POST["name"])) {
//Do what you need to do with form data, for example:
$name = filter_var($_POST["name"],FILTER_SANITIZE_STRING);
//Maybe do some checks on the data (or add to database) and when successful:
if($name != '')
{
$formSubmitted = true; // Set variable to true
}
}
?>
<?php if($formSubmitted): ?>
Hello <?php echo $name; ?>! <!-- Show all other HTML things you want to show -->
<p> This is a message only for people who submitted the form! </p>
<?php else: ?>
<form action='form.php' method='POST'>
<input name='name' type='text'>
</form>
<?php endif; ?>
I hope it'll be useful and hopefully a different way to look at the problem. For multi-step, this could easily accommodate more variables to see which step the user is on ;)
Good luck :)

Display html content only in home page

I am developing a site, I was wondering if I could use PHP in a generic way in order to show a div on the home page, but no on any other page. The code I have so far,
<?php
if host == 'http://domain.com/'; echo {
This should only be shown on the homepage http://domain.com but not on domain.com/directory or sub.domain.com/ !
} else {
};
?>
<?php
$match_domains = array('google.com','www.google.com');
if(in_array($_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'], $match_domains) {
echo 'show on my domain!';
}
?>
Using $_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'] we compare it to our desired domain.
We use in_array to search $match_domains for the current domain. If it's in the array, we show our text...Anything else, we ignore.
<?php
$domain = str_replace('www.','',$_SERVER['SERVER_NAME']); // Strip out www.
$match_domains = array('google.com');
if(in_array($domain, $match_domains) {
echo 'show on my domain!';
}
?>
Since you want the home page why don't you check the file name
if ($_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME'] == "/index.php") {
echo "<div>Content</div>";
}

How to include 2 checks in a if statement

Basically I am coding a script where it simply redirects the user to the destination page. And I want to be able to check if multiple websites are not equal to the value; if this is so, it will run a error, else it will proceed.
I can't seem to get this to work though, although I am sure there's a way to check multiple values.
<?php
$url = $_GET['site']; // gets the site URL the user is being redirected to.
if ($url != "***.co", "***.net")
{
echo ("Website is not valid for redirection.");
} else {
echo ("You are being redirected to: " . $url);
}
?>
You can make an array of items to check for and then check if the url is in the array:
if (!in_array($url, array("***.co", "***.net")))
{
}
You can also use multiple conditions like #wrigby showed, but the solution using an array makes it easier to add more (or a dynamic number of) urls. But if there are always two, his is better.
You'll need two complete conditionals, connected with a logical and (&&) operator:
<?php
$url = $_GET['site']; // gets the site URL the user is being redirected to.
if ($url != "***.co" && $url != "***.net")
{
echo ("Website is not valid for redirection.");
} else {
echo ("You are being redirected to: " . $url);
}
?>

Redirecting URL with elseif $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']

I have a main page that users go to that shows output from a MySQL query depending on the variable passed to it. So;
http://website/mypage.php?page=0
However, I would like to set up redirection so that if someone just goes to
http://website/mypage.php
that it will go to http://website/mypage.php?page=0. I thought of using the following code, which verifies the current page as well as verifies that a user's session is established;
elseif ($_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] == '/mypage.php' && isset($_SESSION['valid_user']))
{
header('Refresh: 0; URL=/mypage.php?page=0');
}
But, this looks to be too general. Is there a way to check for exactly '/mypage.php' or maybe '/mypage.php?page=' ? I thought of using strlen to check for only the 11 characters in /mypage.php, but I'm not sure that this is the most efficient way of doing it.
You can check to see if the variable page has a value and if its empty you can do the redirect
if($_GET['page'] == ''){
header('Location: /mypage.php?page=0');
exit;
}
or
if(!isset($_GET['page'])){
header('Location: /mypage.php?page=0');
exit;
}
In your mypage.php you can check something like this
if(!isset($_GET['page'])) {
header('location: /mypage.php?page=0');
exit;
}
But, I think, instead of redirecting to same page with a get variable, why don't just show the page you want to show by default, when there is no page variable is set.
You should use this way:
header('Location: /mypage.php?page=0');
exit;
Otherwise check the $_SERVER variables for more strict match. http://php.net/manual/en/reserved.variables.server.php
I think probably you need $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']
Is this what you're looking for?
if(!isset($_GET['page']) || empty($_GET['page'])) {
Header('Location: http://website/mypage.php?page=0')
exit();
}
or
if(!isset($_GET['page']))
$_GET['page'] = 0;
I'm not sure about the second solution, you shouldn't attribute value to $_GET[] variables.
if( !isset($_REQUEST['page']) ) {
header('Location: /mypage.php?page=0');
exit(0);
} else {
if( $_REQUEST['page']=="" ) {
header('Location: /mypage.php?page=0');
exit(0);
}
}
