For some reason when I created a footer menu and the location as footer, it also shows up in the top menu location.
I have checked that both menus are set to their correct locations in the Admin -> Menu area and also checked my child theme code to ensure my navigation.php is pulling the correct wp_nav_menu which it is. What is also strange is when the site is in mobile mode, it shows the correct menu and isn't a problem.
I'm lost now as to what else to look into to solve this problem.
Any help is much appreciated.
(just let me know in the comments if you need any screenshots or more info)
In the menu options, there is a checkbox as Display location to enable the location where that menu should place.
Please check the footer menu which has enabled both options Primary Menu &Footer Menu, If so uncheck the Primary menu checkbox.
I have two course category Mathematics and Physics. Each category have course relevant to it type. I want to create Nav menu on my website via this category. I mean I want to take Mathematics and Physics to be as menu.

You need to go appearance > menu and select your menu location than after you can see your categories in just left of the screen. you can select your category from the list and click on the add to menu. After it just click on the save menu and check on your fronted side.
check the screenshot.
If you are not able to see your category list in this section than you did the mistake in your register_taxonomy() function.
you are having three options.
1)you can use the custom links for menu.
2)second option is you can check with firebug your custom category is there with display none remove that css from firebug.
3)third option is check the plugin and customize the register taxonomy function.
Found the quick and best solution for this. Please use this WordPress plugin - Custom Taxonomies Menu Widget by Ade Walker

When you save finally your two menu the lower side checkbox should be checked by default then only will show the menu
I want to hide some of the categories from magento home page. I have created some categories like New Arrivals, Special Offer Which I would like to show in some different way may be in left panel or right side of my home page. I don't want to include them in my top menu. Is There any right way i can do it. ?
Go to this screen in your admin interface: Catalog -> Manage Categories.
Click on the category in question.
Scroll down.
Set Include in navigation menu to No.
Done.
I have created the articles and menu items that links to that articles. This all works.
But now what I want is, when I click on the menu, it should open up only article (without any template feature, no header , no footer and not even the menu).I am opening the article in a new window. From googling what I found is if I add &tmpl=component to the url it will just load the component, and that will show just the article. But I am not sure how to add this parameter from admin screen to the menu items. The link which is showed in admin screen is not editable!!!. Or should I have to develop a custom menu module to achieve this!!!?
Thanks for help.

Create a new menu item - External Link and then paste the full URL into the box.
