Hi everyone i have crul request when i use it in single php page without laravel it work fine but if i put it inside laraevl controller to use it not working and return code status 0
My Request
$data = '{"PaymentInquiryV4RequestMessage":{"RefNum":"123456"}}';
$ch = curl_init('https://b2btest.stcpay.com.sa/B2B.DirectPayment.WebApi/DirectPayment/V4/PaymentInquiry');
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_CUSTOMREQUEST, "POST");
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $data);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true);
curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST,0);
curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER,1);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSLCERT, 'crt.crt');
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSLKEY, 'key.key');
curl_getinfo($ch, CURLINFO_HTTP_CODE);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, array(
'Content-Type: application/json',
'X-ClientCode: XXXXXXXXXXX'
)
);
$result = curl_exec($ch);
$result = json_decode($result, true);
print_r ($result);
when dealing with curl always start by debugging errors, which you can enable like
$result = curl_exec($ch);
if (curl_errno($ch)) {
$error_msg = curl_error($ch);
echo $error_msg;
}
and as you mentioned in comment, you received below error after adding above code:
could not load PEM client certificate, OpenSSL error error:02001002:system library:fopen:No such file or directory, (no key found, wrong pass phrase, or wrong file format?)
It clearly indicate it can't find your certificate files, update path to those files in your call , like if your certificates are in directory /var/www/certificate/, your code would be
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSLCERT, '/var/www/certificate/crt.crt');
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSLKEY, '/var/www/certificate/key.key');
and make sure cert files are readable by setting proper permissions.
p.s you can also use Laravel helpers to get the path
base_path(); // '/var/www/mysite'
app_path(); // '/var/www/mysite/app'
storage_path(); // '/var/www/mysite/storage'
so you call will contain like
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSLCERT, base_path().'/certificate/crt.crt');
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSLKEY, base_path().'/certificate/key.key');

I'm trying to do the bare minimum, just to get it working.
Here is my Google Script:
function doPost(e) {
return ContentService.createTextOutput(JSON.stringify(e.parameter));
}
Here is my PHP code:
$url = 'https://script.google.com/a/somedomain.com/macros/s/### script id ###/exec';
$data['name'] = "Joe";
$ch = curl_init();
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, array("Content-type: multipart/form-data"));
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, true);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, http_build_query($data));
// curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION, true);
$result = curl_exec($ch);
$error = curl_error($ch);
Executing this, $result is true.
If I uncomment the CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER line, $result =
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>Bad Request</TITLE>
</HEAD>
<BODY BGCOLOR="#FFFFFF" TEXT="#000000">
<H1>Bad Request</H1>
<H2>Error 400</H2>
</BODY>
</HTML>
$error is always empty.
I would use doGet() but I need to send some rather large POSTs that will exceed what GET can handle.
How can I post to a Google script and return data?
------ UPDATE ------
I've just learned my lead developer tried this some time ago and concluded doPost() errors when returning so apparently it's not just me. My take is that Google is simply not reliable enough to use. I would love for someone to prove me wrong.
------ UPDATE 2 - THE FIX ---------
Apparently this was the problem:
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, http_build_query($data));
needs to be:
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $data);
No idea why http_build_query() caused it to error.
Try reading the documentation for CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS and you'll see that is says To post a file, prepend a filename with # and use the full path. That looks what you are trying to do. Note that in php 5.5, the CURLFile class was introduced to let you post files.
If you are using php 5.5 or later, you might try this:
$url = 'https://script.google.com/a/somedomain.com/macros/s/### script id ###/exec';
// create a CURLFile object:
$cfile = new CURLFile('file.pdf','application/pdf'); // you can also optionally use a third parameter
// your POST data...you may need to add other data here like api keys and stuff
$data = array("fileName" => $cfile);
$ch = curl_init();
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, array("Content-type: multipart/form-data"));
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, 1);
// FROM THE DOCS:
// If value is an array, the Content-Type header will be set to multipart/form-data (so you might skip the line above)
// As of PHP 5.2.0, value must be an array if files are passed to this option with the # prefix
// As of PHP 5.5.0, the # prefix is deprecated and files can be sent using CURLFile
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $data);
// set this to TRUE if you want curl_exec to retrieve the result
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION, true);
$result = curl_exec($ch);
if ($result === FALSE) {
echo "The result is FALSE. There was a problem\n";
$error = curl_error($ch);
var_dump($error);
die();
} else {
echo "success!\n";
var_dump($result);
}
// this can give you more information about your request
$info = curl_getinfo($ch);
if ($info === FALSE) {
echo "curlinfo is FALSE! Something weird happened";
}
var_dump($info); // examine this output for clues
EDIT: If you are not getting any error, and $result comes back with something like "Bad Request" then you will need to inspect the result more closely to find out what the problem is. A well-behaved API should have informative information to help you fix the problem. If the API doesn't tell you what you did wrong, you can examine the curlinfo you get from these commands:
$info = curl_getinfo($ch);
var_dump($info); // examine this output for clues
if $result and $info don't tell you what you've done wrong, try reading the API documentation more closely. You might find a clue in there somewhere.
If you can't figure out what the problem is using these tactics, there's not much else you can do with your code. You'll need more information from the maintainers of the API.
You need to look at your HTTP Request header to see what is actually being posted.
When trouble shooting I add these options:
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_CONNECTTIMEOUT, 10);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_TIMEOUT,10);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_FAILONERROR,true);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_ENCODING,"");
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_VERBOSE, true);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLINFO_HEADER_OUT, true);
CURLINFO_HEADER_OUT will add "request_header" to curl_getinfo()
You also want to look at these curl_getinfo() elements.
request_size
size_upload
upload_content_length
request_header
I have a problem setting up a https connection using cURL in php.
here is my php code to set up the connection.
$ch = curl_init();
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $endlocation);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_CUSTOMREQUEST, "POST");
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $data);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_CAINFO, $certificate);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_PORT, $portNumber);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, array(
'Content-Type: application/json',
'Content-Length: ' . strlen($data))
);
$result = curl_exec($ch);
the folowing var are:
$endlocation = "https://lms.lifeline.nl/mailwebservice/inline/"
$data = json encoded data
$certificate = true path to .crt file
$portNumber = 443
when i execute the cURL my page breaks and i get a page error of the compound was reinitialized. as it happens to be i get back a false from the curl_exec.
how ever if i use this file not to directly set up a connection true php but by using linux command line on the same server:
$url = "https://lms.lifeline.nl/mailwebservice/inline";
exec("curl $url", $output, $status);
print_r($output); die;
then i do get a response back. is there somthing wrong whit my cURL exec in php format?. or is there somthing else that i need to look in to?
I have a php script in my Apache server that have to send a curl request to a partner's server.
Partner give me a .pem file that I have to attach to every call I do to its api.
My php script is the follow:
$ch = curl_init();
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSLCERT, "test.pem" );
curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_SSLCERTTYPE,"PEM");
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, True);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, True);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, false);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $json);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_VERBOSE, true);
$result = curl_exec($ch);
if(!$result)
{
echo "Curl Error: " . curl_error($ch);
}
else
{
echo "Success: ". $result;
}
curl_close($ch);
It returns:
Curl Error: unable to set private key file: 'test.pem' type PEM
Consider that it sends me .pem file and says "it has no passphrase"
I think that you need to use the tmpfile() and stream_get_meta_data.
$pemFile = tmpfile();
fwrite($pemFile, "test.pem");//the path for the pem file
$tempPemPath = stream_get_meta_data($pemFile);
$tempPemPath = $tempPemPath['uri'];
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSLCERT, $tempPemPath);
Source: This answer here in SO helps me with similar problem.
I think you're missing
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_CAINFO, 'test.pem');
Have a look at cURL is unable to use client certificate , in local server
for more about using client certificates in curl via PHP
I'm trying to make an CURL PUT REQUEST, my code looks like:
public function assignProfile($token, $organizationId, $profileId)
{
//define enviroment and path
$host = enviroment;
$path = "/admin/organizations/".$organizationId."/users";
$data_string = '["'.$profileId.'"]';
// set up the curl resource
$ch = curl_init();
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $host.$path);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_CUSTOMREQUEST, "PUT");
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, true);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $data_string);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, false);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_VERBOSE, true);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, false);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, array(
'Content-Type: application/json',
'Authorization: Bearer '.$token.'',
'Content-Length: ' . strlen($data_string)
));
echo "<br>OK<br>";
// execute the request
$output = curl_exec($ch);
// return ID for a new case
$output = json_decode($output);
var_dump($output);
}
Each part looks correct, when I var_dump $path, $host, even $data_string looks correct. However var_dump() at the end throw just NULL
I expect I'm doing something wrong or missing something really important.
May I ask you for some advise?
Thanks
EDIT:
What i do with it:
// define
define("Audavin","here is some uniqe ID");
.
.
.
$Users = new Users;
// this return Auth token ( I verify this work with echo )
$token = $Users->authorization();
// Calling method mentioned above
$Users->assignProfile($token,"here is org id", Audavin);
I would start by making sure the URL you're making the request to actually works and returns a valid response, you can do so by using a simple REST client (like POSTMAN chrome extension for example)
If you do get a response back, try and see if it's indeed a valid JSON, if not, that could be why you're not getting anything back from json_decode (more on return values here: http://php.net/manual/en/function.json-decode.php)
Finally, It is suggested you add curl_close($ch) to the end of your code to make sure your release the curl handle.
I am attempting to send a file to an Https URL with this code:
$file_to_upload = array('file_contents'=>'#'.$target_path);
$ch = curl_init();
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $target_url);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, FALSE);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSER, FALSE);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_UPLOAD, TRUE);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST,1);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, 'file='.$file_to_upload);
$result = curl_exec($ch);
$error = curl_error($ch);
curl_close ($ch);
echo " Server response: ".$result;
echo " Curl Error: ".$error;
But for some reason I'm getting this response:
Curl Error: Failed to open/read local data from file/application
Any advice would help thanks!
UPDATE: When I take out CURLOPT_UPLOAD, I get a response from the target server but it says that there was no file in the payload
You're passing a rather strange argument to CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS. Try something more like:
<?
$postfields = array('file' => '#' . $target_path);
// ...
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $postfields);
?>
Also, you probably want CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER to be true, otherwise $result won't get the output, it'll instead be sent directly to the buffer/browser.
This example from php.net might be of use as well:
<?php
$ch = curl_init();
$data = array('name' => 'Foo', 'file' => '#/home/user/test.png');
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, 'http://localhost/upload.php');
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, 1);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $data);
curl_exec($ch);
?>
On top of coreward's answer:
According to how to upload file using curl with php, starting from php 5.5 you need to use curl_file_create($path) instead of "#$path".
Tested: it does work.
With the # way no file gets uploaded.
