I have a problem with my project laravel 5.7. I have developed it locally and all is well but once sent to my server online I have this error: view [auth.login] not found.
Ran into the same problem. I noticed three things;
A message while booting homestead about virtualbox guest-tools being out of sync between host and guest. There could be a problem with paths. I fixed that issue with the help of this here
The Laravel view [auth.login] not found on server page displayed the path of the host machine and not of the vagrant-guest.
bootstrap/cache/config.php also displayed paths from the host and not the guest.
Renaming/deleting (or artisan cache:clear) the config.php only gave errors (Laravel Error “Unable to load the ”app“ configuration file”).
I fixed the issue by correcting the paths in config.php manually to the correct path in vagrant.
Run following commands on your server.
it might solve your problem.
php artisan config:clear
php artisan cache:clear
php artisan view:clear
php artisan route:cache
php artisan optimize
or
composer dump-autoload -o
if you are in develop mode you can run:
php artisan config:clear
or if you are in product mode you can run:
php artisan config:cache
notice: when you use second, config clear and cache again and you force to repeat command for other changes.
How do you to setup a Git Repo for a Laravel Project to run after cloning from a remote host like Gitlab, Guthub or Bitbucket? After cloning a Laravel repo to a local computer php artisan serve gives this error 'PHP Warning: require(D:\MyGitLab\laravel-project/vendor/autoload.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory '. This means simply cloning does not work. What is the solution? I added all files and directories to origin repo.
Make a copy of .env.example to .env file.
Make database and link it from .env file.
Run composer update command
Run php artisan key:generate command
Install Bower, NPM or any other front end package if you are using.
Run php artisan migrate command.
Run php artisan serve command.
You are good to go!!!
run
php artisan key:generate
That should work.
You need to run
composer update
first to install package dependency and run
php artisan serve
and run
php artisan key:generate
I am trying to duplicate a laravel project on my local machine (windows, wamp, laravel 5.4)
I copied all the files and folders beside the vendor folder to a new folder.
I ran composer install, artisan cache:clear and composer dump-autoload
But, when I ran artisan key:generate I get this error:
file_put_contents: failed to open
stream: Permission denied.
Why is that and how do I solve it?
Thank you
You need to run:
chmod -R 777 storage/*
sometimes sudo chmod -R 777 storage/*
then php artisan cache:clear
then php artisan key:generate
This is due to the file permissions not being writeable. Seems to be quite a regular occurrence this happens but the steps above will rectify your problem.
To utilise more of these commands on a windows you can use a program called Git Bash. It's a very neat and handy tool: Git Bash
If you do not wish to use git bash you can take this approach:
Locate the Storage folder within your file explorer. Right click and press permissions and change the security permissions to allow write access.
So, I imported another project from Bitbucket and tried to launch it using php artisan serve, I always get this error:
[LogicException]
Key path "file:///var/www/html/DesignViewer5/storage/oauth-private.key" does not
exist or is not readable
I don't get this error when I make a project myself, I can't run any other command. I tried 'php artisan key:generate', and got the exact same error.
I tried: composer update, and got this:
Loading composer repositories with package information
Updating dependencies (including require-dev)
Package operations: 0 installs, 1 update, 0 removals
- Updating spatie/laravel-permission (1.11.1 => 1.12.0) Downloading: 100%
Writing lock file
Generating autoload files
> Illuminate\Foundation\ComposerScripts::postUpdate
> php artisan optimize
[LogicException]
Key path "file:///var/www/html/DesignViewer5/storage/oauth-private.key" doe
s not exist or is not readable
Script php artisan optimize handling the post-update-cmd event returned with error code 1
Anyone knows how to fix it? Thanks!
I think that this is due to Laravel Passport, you should try the following command:
php artisan passport:install
This command will create the encryption keys needed to generate secure
access tokens. In addition, the command will create "personal access"
and "password grant" clients which will be used to generate access
tokens
Source: https://laravel.com/docs/5.4/passport
I had the same problem when I updated the composer.I generated the keys again using php artisan passport:keys and it solved the problem
I found the solution
Solution:
In config/app.php I had to comment these lines:
/*Laravel\Passport\PassportServiceProvider::class,
App\Providers\CodeGrantProvider::class,
Spatie\Permission\PermissionServiceProvider::class,*/
Than you need to migrate the whole database again,
than uncomment this line:
Laravel\Passport\PassportServiceProvider::class,
And run php artisan passport:install my application keys weren't working so I had to do:
php artisan config:clear
php artisan key:generate
php artisan config:clear
And than I could do php artisan serve
Thanks!
so sample if you already install passpord and don't config run this command
php artisan passport:keys
If already doesnt install the passport package you must check the docs of passpord in Laravel docs
Step 1:
Only Run if oauth-private.key and oauth-public.key not exists in
storage folder otherwise skip first step..
php artisan passport:install
Step 2:
Clear configration and generate key
php artisan config:clear
php artisan key:generate
php artisan config:clear
Step 3:
Change permission and owner like that :
sudo chown www-data:www-data storage/oauth-*.key
sudo chmod 600 storage/oauth-*.key
Since /storage/*.key is in .gitignore so if you pull the project, that might be missing the key by running php artisan passport:keys will generate new keys for you.
Run: php artisan passport:install.
If get message like "Encryption keys already exist. Use the --force option to overwrite them."
Then run
Run: php artisan config:clear
Run: php artisan key:generate.
And finally
Run: php artisan config:clear
I have removed this bit: Passport::loadKeysFrom(__DIR__.'/../secrets/oauth');
from App\Providers\AuthServiceProvider and it fixed the issue.
https://laravel.com/docs/8.x/passport#deploying-passport
/**
* Register any authentication / authorization services.
*
* #return void
*/
public function boot()
{
$this->registerPolicies();
Passport::routes();
Passport::loadKeysFrom(__DIR__.'/../secrets/oauth');
}
if you use heroku as deployment,
try add this in composer.json at the script line
"post-install-cmd": [
"php artisan clear-compiled",
"chmod -R 777 storage",
"php artisan passport:keys"
]
and then run this command
php artisan passport:install
php artisan config:clear
php artisan optimize
do this commands
sudo chown www-data:www-data storage/oauth-*.key
php artisan passport:install
php artisan config:clear
php artisan key:generate
php artisan config:clear
Don't do this line until you have keys in a specific location for the file
in AuthServiceProvider.php
//Passport::loadKeysFrom('/secret-keys/oauth');
for my after i run composer install passport is already installed so php artisan passport:install does not help.
try to touch new file (oauth-private.key) to storage dir, then run command
php artisan passport:keys --force
this command 'll force override private key you touched and create "aouth-public.key" file. it 'll work fine
Depending on the environment you are using to deploy. If, for example, you are using a Heroku deploy, you may have to remove the folder containing the keys from gitignore before pushing and then later add it back. This worked for me after following the steps above.
firstly, search in oath-private-key in your application folder. copy
it and go to App/provider folder. create a new folder , secret and
oauth like that
App/Provider/Secret/Oauth and paste your oath-private-key here.
I hope it helps you.
For Windows OS. If you have already installed passport, or you are setting up an existing application and then facing this problem then try "php artisan passport:keys"
I'm new to GitHub and I found this site very useful for a lot of us. I came upon storing my Laravel project here in GitHub, but there's a problem every time I will clone it to be able to go to production, when I'm about to clone it at first, it always shows this error.
Warning: require(C:\xampp\htdocs\tourismPortal\bootstrap/../vendor/autoload.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\xampp\htdocs\tourismPortal\bootstrap\autoload.php on line 17
Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required 'C:\xampp\htdocs\tourismPortal\bootstrap/../vendor/autoload.php' (include_path='.;C:\xampp\php\PEAR') in C:\xampp\htdocs\tourismPortal\bootstrap\autoload.php on line 17
I know this will be solved by using composer update on it, but is there any way to prevent this error so that every time I clone it, I will go to production without encountering this error? Thanks, by the way, I'm using tortoisegit to clone, pull and push.
Clone your project
Go to the folder application using cd command on your cmd or terminal
Run composer install on your cmd or terminal
Copy .env.example file to .env on the root folder. You can type copy .env.example .env if using command prompt Windows or cp .env.example .env if using terminal, Ubuntu
Open your .env file and change the database name (DB_DATABASE) to whatever you have, username (DB_USERNAME) and password (DB_PASSWORD) field correspond to your configuration.
Run php artisan key:generate
Run php artisan migrate
Run php artisan serve
Go to http://localhost:8000/
Yes you can, but that is not recommended at all.
You can delete everything in .gitignore file and push them from a working project. Then it will work perfectly where you git clone them.
But there are so many drawbacks in this way.
I recommend you not to do that.
Run `git clone 'link projer github'
Run composer install
Run cp .env.example .env or copy .env.example .env
Run php artisan key:generate
Run php artisan migrate
Run php artisan db:seed
Run php artisan serve
Go to link localhost:8000 OR 127.0.0.1:8000
You guys missed a step here, after this command
php artisan key:generate
Don't forget to run npm install && npm run dev
If you have any front-end environment setup, this command will clear all the dependencies...
Thanks for everyone's great help I also run the command to make the project work.
composer update
Run the following commands:
git clone --single-branch --branch [TAG_VERSION] https://github.com/laravel/laravel.git [CUSTOM_PROJECT_NAME]
composer install
