I'm trying to set up my own request which I could send to a method for testing purposes, but I can't seem to find how to format it.
Right now I'm trying to pull array out of the request
$data = $request->request->get('itemData');
It should look like this once I get it:
[
'basic' => [
'type' => 1
'country => 1
],
'information' => [
'wadding' => 1
]
]
I have written it like this:
$request->request->set("itemData[basic][type]", 2);
$request->request->set("itemData[information][wadding]", 0);
But I get null since the key is not itemData but for example itemData[basic][type]
How do I format it in the set command so the request parameters are sent in array form?
Figured it out
$request->request->set("itemData",
[
'basic' => ['type' => 2, 'country' => 1],
'information' => ['wadding' => 0]
]
);

I am trying to write a phpunit test so I can test that I'm getting the correct assertion, this test i currently have which is passing and works as intended.
/**
#test
*/
$filmInfo = $this->postRequest();
$this->assertFilm($this->requestData, $filmInfo['id']);
$film = Film::findOrFail($filmInfo['id']);
$this->assertEquals('LOTR', $filmInfo['name']);
$this->assertEquals('Film about a ring', $filmInfo['description']);
$this->assertEquals('Fantasy', $filmInfo['genre']['main']);
$this->assertEquals('Adventure', $filmInfo['genre']['sub']);
}
This is the request data array it is referring to:
private function requestData(): array
{
return [
'name' => 'LOTR',
'description' => 'Film about a ring',
'main' => 'Fantasy',
'sub' => 'Adventure',
];
}
This test works fine and it passing but I want to test it within one assertion like so:
$this->assertEquals([
'name' => 'LOTR',
'description' => 'Film about a ring',
'genre' => [
'main' => 'Fantasy',
'sub' => 'Adventure'
]
,
], $filmInfo);
But I keep getting an error that the 2 arrays I'm asserting are not matching, do you guys have an idea on what could be causing this?
Just like what the PHPUnit said, your array aren't matching. Your array should match with all values in $filmInfo array.
From your code, we can guessing that you aren't comparing the id. Maybe you can try this code:
$this->assertEquals(array_merge($filmInfo, [
'name' => 'LOTR',
'description' => 'Film about a ring',
'genre' => [
'main' => 'Fantasy',
'sub' => 'Adventure'
],
]), $filmInfo);
I am trying to access json in a nested array but it is not working yet.
I am developing in laravel an have this
public function rave(Request $request){
$vars = [
'id' => Request::get('id'),
'txref' => Request::get('txRef'),
'flwref' => Request::get('flwRef'),
'created_at' => Request::get('createdAt'),
'amount' => Request::get('amount'),
'status' => Request::get('status'),
'name' => Request::get('fullName'),
'email' => Request::get('customer'),
];
I am able to get and display all in view but name and email which comes back in the response as
"customer":{
"id":15672,
"phone":"7667866 ",
"fullName":"john doe ",
"customertoken":null,
"email":"kely#gmail.com",
"createdAt":"2019-06-09T08:28:56.000Z",
"updatedAt":"2019-06-09T08:28:56.000Z",
"deletedAt":null,
"AccountId":33519
},
How do I access the data under customer because this
'name' => Request::get('fullName'),
'email' => Request::get('customer'),
doesn't seem to work like the others
You use Request $request as function parameter,
and check output of
echo $request->input('customer.fullName');
echo $request->input('customer.email');
I am trying to push data to a firestore DB using PHP and the Google apis.
Inside the documentation and examples I have seen around the web, I am able to use mapValue and arrayValue when sending data.
The example I am using is as follows:-
[
"orderName" => [
"stringValue" => "Gbeila Aliu Wahab"
],
"orderLocationName" => [
"stringValue" => "Accra Mall Limited"
],
"orderTotalAmount" => [
"doubleValue" => 150.5
],
"orderDescription" => [
"stringValue" => "Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry"
],
"orderLocationGeoPoints" => [
"geoPointValue" => (object) [
"latitude" => 5.5557,
"longitude" => -0.1963
]
],
"orderStatus" => [
"stringValue" => "NotAssigned"
],
]
This works perfectly fine, but when I attempt to send an object or an array I get the following error returned to me:-
"message": "Invalid JSON payload received. Unknown name \"map_value\" at 'document.fields[0].value': Proto field is not repeating, cannot start list.",
when attempting to map the value using the following code:-
"orderName" => [
"mapValue" => ["Gbeila Aliu Wahab", 123]
]
// or
"orderName" => [
"arrayValue" => [
"first" => [
"stringValue" => "test"
],
"second" => [
"stringValue" => "test123"
]
]
]
I have tried many variations to try to get this to work.
How am I supposed to be using the mapValue and arrayValue I can see a lot of mentions regarding the value option but I cannot see any examples on how to use the.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Payload to your array or map you're generating is incorrect as per the documentation. You need to wrap your actual data (to store) under values key, your final array should be:
["orderName" => ["arrayValue" => ["values" => [["stringValue" => "test"], ["stringValue" => "test123"]]]]]
Similarly your mapValue should be
["orderName" => ["mapValue" => ["fields" => ["field1" => ["stringValue" => "Gbeila Aliu Wahab"]]]]]
Also, you can play with other data mapper via this package.
php array:
$post = [
'contact' => [ // <--
['phone' => '1234', 'lname'=>'Anton'],
['phone' => '123', 'lname'=>'Sima']
] // <--
];
or GET URL:
contact[][phone]=1234&contact[][lname]=Anton
How can I get data in this format using Django request ?
I used https://github.com/bernii/querystring-parser, its result does not suit me, it deletes duplicate keys
PHP can't use duplicate keys, you need to add another array around them, if you want something like your example:
$post = [
'contact' => [ // <--
['phone' => '1234', 'lname'=>'Anton'],
['phone' => '123', 'lname'=>'Sima']
] // <--
];
I want to make search in my project. I use typeahead but it's not working. This is my code:
<?php
echo '<label class="control-label">Select Repository</label>';
$template = '<div><p class="repo-language">{{no_telepon}}</p>' .
'<p class="repo-name">{{nama}}</p>' .
'<p class="repo-description">{{email}}</p></div>';
echo Typeahead::widget([
'name' => 'twitter_oss',
'options' => ['placeholder' => 'Filter as you type ...'],
'dataset' => [
[
'prefetch' => Penerima::find()->all(),
'datumTokenizer' => "Bloodhound.tokenizers.obj.whitespace('value')",
'display' => 'value',
'templates' => [
'notFound' => '<div class="text-danger" style="padding:0 8px">Unable to find repositories for selected query.</div>',
'suggestion' => new JsExpression("Handlebars.compile('{$template}')")
]
]
]
]);
?>
This question was asked long time a go.
I also faced the same problem, but i could figure-out this.
for future reference i add this post.
in your controller
$result = SampleModel::find()
->select('Attribute_name')
->where('name LIKE "%' . $searchParameter .'%"')
->asArray()
->all();
return Json::encode($result);
here you need to get the database value as "associative array", you can get that from using "asArray()".
then as you see return value as Json encode.
in your "View"
<?php
echo Typeahead::widget([
'name' => 'sampleName',
'options' => ['placeholder' => 'Filtering data ...'],
'scrollable' => true,
'pluginOptions' => ['highlight'=>true],
'dataset' => [
[
'remote' => [
'url' => Yii::$app->urlManager->createUrl(['sample/action']) .
'?searchParameter=%QUERY',
'wildcard' => '%QUERY'
],
'datumTokenizer' => "Bloodhound.tokenizers.obj.whitespace('Atribute_name')",
'display' => 'Atribute_name',
'limit' => 10,
],
],
'pluginEvents' => [
'typeahead:select' => 'function(e, s) {
EnableUserDetailsTypeAhead(s);
}',
]
]);
?>
here few things to be consider.
calling to the controller action. you can do that.
Yii::$app->urlManager->createUrl(['sample/action']) .
'?searchParameter=%QUERY',
'wildcard' => '%QUERY'
],
the below lines inside data set must be provide.
'datumTokenizer' => "Bloodhound.tokenizers.obj.whitespace('Atribute_name')",
'display' => 'Atribute_name',
you will get the expected data.
this sample code i have tested and this is working
From the docs:
prefetch: array, configuration for the prefetch options object. Refer documentation for the options you can set for this parameter. The return data must be Json encoded and converted to an associative array of the format [['value' => 'data1'], ['value' => 'data2'],...], where value is the fixed key set in display
You are passing an array of objects instead of an array of key value pairs. You can use asArray to create a list of objects. You will need to change display to the name of the field containing the data:
'prefetch' => Penerima::find()->select('title')->asArray()->all(),
