I came across a problem with the WPBakery Page builder (I have V. 6.7.0) on the live page.
I use the theme Sway (v. 2.2) by Key-Design, and they both support each other, but out of the blue the output code started to show in the text block and live on page! What could cause this?
I have tried looking in every .php file in my WordPress folder, even in the theme styling, and I can't find an answer.
Here is an example what every text and title looks like:
Anyways, thank you for your time!

Hello fellow developers,
I have an issue that I am running up against regarding WordPress and the current website I am working on.
I have been give a task to revamp a website, and to insert that website into WordPress. I have been working on a "custom theme" which I succeeded in luckily. The problem with that theme is, the theme shows the homepage of the website I have revamped, and when I wish to add another page to said WordPress installation. All it shows is a blank editor page.. (The same with the "view" and "edit") on the homepage of that website.
TL;DR
I want to use my custom theme to add another page to the wordpress website, problem is it shows a blank page. And the preview of a new page just shows the theme page (so the add page refuses to do anything).
Is there a good and efficient way to migrate my current HTML & CSS website to wordpress? If so how?
Thanks for the read, it's really hard to explain the situation
So the problem comes when you try to add a new page, within WordPress? Did you accidentally edit that function? Try reinstalling WordPress. Since your theme is ready, you will just need to copy it to the new installation.
I am trying to identify the location of the HTML source code generated by my WordPress theme. To be more precise, I am trying to edit the style of a tag from the gallery page - which is actually the header of the page.
The gallery is installed as a plugin (Envira-lite), so the first place where I started looking for the code was in the WordPress Dashboard under Plugins > Editor. Could not find what I needed in there. I then searched under Appearance > Editor and went through all of the templates - all are php files and do not have the html that I need to edit.
Using Chrome Dev Tools I inspected the Gallery page and could find the exact line which I would like to edit Gallery, the big question is, where is this HTML code stored?
I even downloaded the entire contents of the theme via FTP and did a search with Notepad++ for Gallery but no results were returned.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Recently, when I view a page in Wordpress Preview mode, it always loads the default template (theme page.php file) whereas when I look at the published page, it's the right template. I have around 10 different templates for my pages. Just keep in mind that I'm not talking about the theme itself, but the Wordpress template structure. I included three pictures. The admin panel one, shows different templates for my page.As shown, I chose Fixed-Width Clean Page. The second picture shows the page in Preview mode.As you can see it includes a sidebar which is included in the default template but not the one that I chose. And the last picture is the Live view of the website which is correct. As you can see the sidebar doesn't exist. I searched all over the internet and did some suggestions, but none of them work (like saving the permalinks again, changing the theme and changing it back again, etc). The only change that I recently made was upgrading to Wordpress 4.7.4 and blocking access to admin panel by ip using .htaccess file (I removed the .htaccess file, but still no luck). Any suggestions would be appreciated.
OK, after some time I figured out what the problem was. The "WP Subtitle" plugin version 2.9, breaks the preview functionality if you have multiple templates. I report the issue to them as well, but posted the answer if somebody came across the same problem. In order to fix the issue temporarily, i commented out the below line (line 74) on the plugin's main file (wp-subtitle.php):
//add_filter( 'the_preview', array( 'WPSubtitle', 'the_preview' ), 10, 2 );
I created a webpage in Standard HTML and CSS and everything looks / works exactly how I want it too.
Now I need it to appear as it is on a wordpress site (http://www.texasenergyessentials.com/). I already created a template page and can see it in the template select in the wordpress "add new page" window. I was hoping I could just select the template and leave the text editor blank but that doesn't seem to be the case. All I get is a completely un-formatted page that says welcome guest.
What is the easiest way to get https://gist.github.com/anonymous/8545681 to work on the aforementioned wordpress site? ?
Thanks!
P.S. Please don't link any codex files I just spent 2 hours digging around in them :(
Try to read and understand how http://codex.wordpress.org/The_Loop works
Install this theme https://code.google.com/p/wordpress-naked/ and try to work your way to the desired theme by editing theme files. That will be much easier.
Maybe the problem can be understood by reading the template hierarchy:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Hierarchy
(especially check the visual overview)
If you name your file page-[insert-page-id-here].php Wordpress will use it for the page you've created. Get your page id by editing the page and looking it up in the url.
I am new to Word Press and I have been assigned to change something at work in our homepage.
I am always worked with raw HTML/CSS/php files, so I am a bit out of place here.
The page in question is the following: GAN Integrity Solutions Products
Inspecting the html I found where the CSS is (in the theme folder).
If I go in word press under pages, and I choose Products (which is the page I want) there is not content in it even in the text or visual editor. (but the page does indeed have content)
I installed the plugin called "Always edit in HTML" but it only removes the Visual tab and does not really replace it with the HTML tab (like I have seen a friend of mine has).
Also I am currently using WP v. 3.7.1 and I have not update because I still had to learn what happens when one updates (does it screw up my site? I can't afford to screw it up).
Anyone have any idea of what I am doing wrong or how I can solve this?
Btw the different "products" are created individually under "Portfolio" but what I would like to edit is that first link page html. What I need to do is instead of having pictures in the "squares" and then text as ones mouse over them, the reverse.
I would appreciate it!
Can you try to login in Wordpress?
You should go to pages and search for the product page.
Then check the template part.
Go to your themes map again and search for that template.
Your code should be there.
This is my first comment. Hope it is helpfull.
