Looking for raw sample code in PHP to authenticate and generate the credentials to make API calls. This is strictly for the private use of one Amazon Seller.
We would prefer not to use one of the many non-official SDKs.
We have followed the official guides for the various AWS and Developer Central steps.
The actual required PHP code seems onerous (hence the existence of SDKs).
Any help would be appreciated. I have searched but cannot find working code.

I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out how to properly proceed making calls using the Intuit QuickBooks Online API v3. I've looked at the API Explorer, and from my understanding, I can send and receive JSON.
They also provide information about the base URL, the entity, etc: https://developer.intuit.com/docs/api/accounting/Customer
So I'm wondering, am I supposed to be using the QuickBooks SDK that they mention to download? https://developer.intuit.com/docs/0100_accounting
Or would I be able to utilize their API using something like cURL? I don't want to reinvent the wheel of course, but with all the information they provide and no reference to the SDK itself, that's where I started to get a little confused. They basically tell you how to make the calls, but don't reference the SDK in those documents.
Just to provide some extra information, I'm using PHP 5.5 and Laravel.

If you want to, sure.
Or would I be able to utilize their API using something like cURL?
Again, if you want to, sure. Just be aware that if you use cURL, you'll have to do some OAuth signing of your requests (see the OAuth spec) or find an OAuth lib too.
Here's another open-source alternative if you need something with more examples (disclaimer: I'm the author):
https://github.com/consolibyte/quickbooks-php
Examples:
https://github.com/consolibyte/quickbooks-php/tree/master/docs/partner_platform/example_app_ipp_v3
The documentation for accessing the Quickbooks Online API seems to revolve around creating applications for public use. I'm only interested in developing an app to access my very own Quickbooks file. However, I'm having difficulty authenticating.
I successfully obtain all the necessary codes and can run API calls in the API playground. My preference would be not to use any libraries (including the Quickbooks PHP library as it does not support JSON).
I have spent hours searching but I do not know how to 'sign' the various secrets and codes to obtain the Oauth token needed. Does anyone have working PHP code?
I'd like to simply be able to input in the values and make the API calls via curl.

You sign the code using OAuth. This is a well documented authentication method, with many implementations.
Does anyone have working PHP code?
Sure:
https://github.com/consolibyte/quickbooks-php/blob/master/QuickBooks/IPP/OAuth.php#L77
https://code.google.com/p/oauth-php/
https://php.net/manual/en/book.oauth.php
https://pecl.php.net/package/oauth
https://github.com/Lusitanian/PHPoAuthLib
My preference would be not to use any libraries
OAuth is not a trivial authentication method. You should use a library to sign your requests -- it will save you a lot of time vs. implementing your own OAuth signatures.
Is there anyway to do this? I've looked in the google-api-php-client library but it's not there yet. Is there any other way or am I out of luck?
The search API is only enabled for Python Java and Go, as Mario pointed out.
I would look into the modules documentation and try to separate your logic. Your search API can be the only module that isn't in PHP. There is no other solution for your problem unfortunately.
The team promised that a REST API would be made available at Google I/O 2011. I haven't been able to find any follow ups since.

You CAN now access the Search API natively from PHP.
The library is in alpha but should make its way to release fairly soon.
It uses the Google Protocol Buffers so it's the same level of abstraction as the Python/Java/Go SDKs

Feedback appreciated!
I ran into this problem previously, so wrote a sample PHP+Python module pair to allow access to search via URL fetch to a Python module.
https://github.com/tomwalder/phpne14-text-search
I have a similar scenario as you. This might not be the best solution, but I've solved it as follows:
I've created a Python module using Google Endpoints API to expose a set of methods capable of sending and receiving JSON formatted data via HTTP GET or POST. These methods allow me create Documents and Indexes or do queries.
My PHP client, simply calls these urls and passes appropriate data.
So effectively I have a wrapper around the search API and the python stuff is hidden inside.
Story is that I need to make my website act as Identity Provider (read: IDP). Website itself is on Zend platform. Idea is making a IDP controller by which Service Providers (read: SP) contacts IDP. As it must be part of the website, I would need to include some extension, which could be easily used for responding SAML requests from SP.
I have found list of PHP extensions from:
https://wiki.surfnetlabs.nl/display/OSP/RFC+-+OpenSAMLphp,+a+new+PHP+library+for+SAML+2.0+support
All of these extensions have little documentation or are too complex. For example I haven't found a way to use SimpleSamlPHP in my application and also extracting useful code out of it looks very time consuming (which I really don't have anymore). Also I find all of them hard to implement into website.
I have been googling and checking github for days now, trying to find easy way to use some library (right now I'm trying to implement Lasso, which seems reasonable, but unfortunately lacks good examples / information how to use it as IDP).
Any kind of criticism, ideas, help or tutorial/code examples would be useful.
I wrote a guide about how deploy on an open source software (Tiki-wiki) an IdP using simplesamlphp, and how to connect the IdP to google or salesforce. Take a look:
https://github.com/pitbulk/tiki-saml/blob/master/doc/tiki_wiki_as_idp.rst
SimpleSAMLphp seems intimidating at first but it can handle all the SAML responses for you.
Have you looked at creating custom authentication module - http://simplesamlphp.org/docs/stable/simplesamlphp-customauth
You can tie this module to your existing login mechanism pretty easily.
Check out PingFederate and the PHP Integration Kit from Ping Identity. Alternatively there is the Agentless Integration Kit (instead of PHP) which allows you to integrate using a RESTful API call to the PingFed server instead of embedding any PHP libraries.
HTH,

I'm very new to web development. I have searched for login with Google plus and found several good tutorials. But they seems to be very old (most of them from 2011). Why?
I tried below code chunks.
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
$("#packagesGrid").load('https://www.googleapis.com/oauth2/v1/userinfo?alt=json&access_token=ya29.ahes6zt9yv2qaeej5ycn21fn9maokp15scwqkcal3guqxxez7odtjg&token_type=bearer&expires_in=3600');
</script>
I just manually copy pasted the token to the url on the jQuery load function. But nothing is filled to the page.
Google APIs use the OAuth 2.0 protocol for authentication and authorization. Google supports several OAuth 2.0 flows that cover common web server, JavaScript, device, installed application, and server to server scenarios. The Previous Versions of OAuth has been deprecated by Google.
Here is how it works : https://developers.google.com/accounts/docs/OAuth2
To Get Started with Coding,
https://code.google.com/p/google-plus-php-starter/
Just download the project and Follow the steps mentioned.
I have tried this recently and it's working 100% fine.
I'm in a Google presentation at the moment and apparently they have just launched Google+ sign-in, which allows you to do stuff like this much more elegantly.
I don't know any more about it than that, really, but it certainly seems worth a look.
I would suggest making use of the following tutorial Login with Google Account OAuth. It explains calling the correct methods and saves the user data to your database. Plus it was published today.
For this you have to use google client Api library for php
and after that, you need to generate some key (like client id, client secret key, simple API key for Google)
then you have to use these API and use the keys generated. You can find the complete procedure and documents at there corresponding websites...
If you neeed the working tutorial.
