Carbon's formatLocalized not working on production server - php

The following function present in app/Helpers/helpers.php returns me the short month on my local machine. However, I deployed it to the server and it is always returning the month in English.
function dateFormatShortDateLang($date) {
setlocale(LC_TIME, app()->getLocale());
\Carbon\Carbon::setLocale(app()->getLocale());
$shortMonth = ucfirst(str_replace('.', ',', \Carbon\Carbon::createFromFormat('d/m/Y', $date)->formatLocalized('%b %G')));
return $shortMonth;
}
If I dd() the value of app()->getLocale() I get the correct current locale.
The whole repo has the same code, same PHP version and I run the following commands:
php artisan cache:clear
php artisan config:clear
composer dump autoload
My config/app.php:

formatLocalized is deprecated for this reason: it uses strftime which use locales installed on the machine and will also be removed in future PHP version. See isoFormat and Localization documentation
function dateFormatShortDateLang($date) {
Carbon::setLocale(app()->getLocale());
return Carbon::createFromFormat('d/m/Y', $date)->isoFormat('MMM YYYY');
}
Also Carbon::setLocale(app()->getLocale()); shouldn't be necessary if you enabled laravel provider auto-discovery or load Carbon\Laravel\ServiceProvider which is exactly meant to synchronize Carbon locale on your Laravel app locale.

class CreateHstoredemoTable extends Migration

/**

});
}
/**

public function down()
{
Schema::dropIfExists('hstoredemo');
}
}
But when I attemt to run the migration I get the following error:

If I use the elloquent provided migration has no support for postgresql hstore. Do you know how I can make an hstore column in laravel migration script?

As suggested I tried using the:
use Illuminate\Database\Schema\Blueprint;
Then afterwards I run the command:
php artisan migrate:refresh
And got the result:

In Macroable.php line 102:
Method Illuminate\Database\Schema\Blueprint::hstore does not exist.
So it failed to load use the hstore type of field.
I'm not sure but maybe you need to use Laravel's Blueprint and not Bosnadev's one?
It might help because Bosnadev service provider hooks into laravel's Schema and Blueprint stuff.
So just try:
use Illuminate\Database\Schema\Blueprint;

Laravel - php artisan config:cache - [ReflectionException] Class cache.store does not exist

After running the command
php artisan config:cache
It returns the content of the config file plus

Sorry, the page you are looking for - Laravel

Hello I'm trying to install laravel but I'm not able to run the project. I have search for different solutions on stackoverflow but none of them is working for me.
Firstly i have downloaded the Laravel installer using Composer by following command:
composer global require "laravel/installer"
Then I've created a new project using following command:
composer create-project --prefer-dist laravel/laravel testlaravel
The project was created successfully, Then i tried this command to run the server php artisan serve and i got the following url at my local server http://localhost:8000/ but when i open that url, it says:
Sorry, the page you are looking for could not be found.

comparing your code next to a working fresh installation i only saw differences in config/app.php One of the differences is the Application name part. laravel artisan shows error with system php on the right version

I have laravel 5.0 installed on CentOS with PHP version 5.4.45 on the CLI ans 5.6 on the webserver. If I run php -v I get
Copyright (c) 1997-2014 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v2.4.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2014 Zend Technologies
with the ionCube PHP Loader v4.6.0, Copyright (c) 2002-2014, by ionCube Ltd.
On the composer.json and on the laravel documentation is stated that version 5.0 meets my requirements:
Server requirements on laravel documentation
PHP >= 5.4, PHP < 7
Mcrypt PHP Extension
OpenSSL PHP Extension
Mbstring PHP Extension
Tokenizer PHP Extension
And the composer.json on the server is as follows:
If I try to use the artisan command I get no output returned (Because the display_errors variable is set to display no errors).
And If I do php -d display_errors artisan I get the following output:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'class' (T_CLASS), expecting identifier (T_STRING) or variable (T_VARIABLE) or '{' or '$' in /var/www/vhosts/website/httpdocs/config/app.php on line 153
That error happens when the PHP version does not fit the required version for laravel.
So, what can be causing this error? As an aside, I don't have permission to update PHP installation or other sudostuff.
Edit: the app.config file is here.

Try converting your socialite and laravellogserviceprovider entries also into string literals instead of the ::class style.
Probably the php version in your global path is not supporting the ::class syntax while the webserver, since it has php5.6 properly configured is supporting the ::class syntax. Hence you do not get any error on webserver but error is thrown when in console which uses the php set in your path.

Please help me to get out from this problem.
tl;dr: Check your file permissions on storage/logs.
I was with the same problem with Socialite, and I found out that it was caused by Laravel's log rotation. It generates a new log file every day, but when you run from commandline (phpunit or artisan), it will generate this file with your Unix username, not www-data.
Your www-data user (or whatever webserver's user) needs permission to write in this file in order to write error logs. The blank screen is caused by the Logger trying to log an error before showing you the stack trace view.
As the script does not find love from the filesystem, the webserver stops its execution before it has the opportunity to tell you what is happening. So, you won't get Stack Trace or Laravel's Log even if your config is set to debug.
You can see it in your webserver's error log (if you're in Linux, it usually goes to /var/log/{server_name}/error.log - or check your virtual server logging configuration if the path is different).
After fixing the permission issue, you can see the trace view, find out the true error origin and then fix it.
If you do not want to re-fix this permission issue every day, just add your www-user to your username group, like this:
sudo usermod -a -G yourusername www-data
Or (if you prefer) you can config Monolog to add current username to the logfile, like answered here:
Laravel daily log created with wrong permissions
