I cannot able to post data its contain the special characters through curl ,Any solution ?
first code is my curl function ,second code is my data need to pass
$communication_data_string = 'token='.json_encode(array(
"activityTypeId"=>12,
"activityId"=>5,
"userID"=> 10,
"partyID"=>20,
"message_area_name"=>("this is my test data with special cheractors&&!###$%$%%*)++")
)
);
echo(datPostingCURL($url, $communication_data_string));
?>
this seems to not returning anything if the messageData contains the special character's
Try urlencode
or
How about using the entity codes...
# = %40
& = %26
change the line
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $data_string);
to
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, urlencode($data_string));
the receive it in following way as you are not using any specific post variable
$data = urldecode(file_get_contents('php://input'));
Check the following code. I tested it in my local system. In my www director I created a folder named "test" for keeping the code. Then I created 2 files in that "test" folder. One file for sending the request and one for processing the request.
1. curl.php
<?php
function datPostingCURL($url, $data_string)
{
$ch = curl_init($url);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_COOKIESESSION, true);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_CUSTOMREQUEST, "POST");
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $data_string);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true);
$result = curl_exec($ch);
return $result;
}
$url = "http://localhost/test/curl_post.php";
$communication_data_string = 'token='.json_encode(array(
"activityTypeId"=>12,
"activityId"=>5,
"userID"=> 10,
"partyID"=>20,
"message_area_name"=>base64_encode("hai ..this is my test data .!###$%$%%*)++")
)
);
echo(datPostingCURL($url, $communication_data_string));
?>
2. curl_post.php
<?php
print_r(json_decode($_POST['token']));
$details = json_decode($_POST['token']); var_dump($details);
echo base64_decode($details->message_area_name);
?>
Note : While using special characters you should encode that string. I tried to convert it with htmlspecialchars(). But it didn't worked. So I used base64 encoding method here.

Decode gzipped web page retrieved via cURL in PHP

I'm struggling to retrieve data from an API using PHP.
My PHP code:
<?php
$curl = curl_init();
curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_URL, "https://api.coronavirus.data.gov.uk/v1/data?filters=areaName=United%2520Kingdom;areaType=overview&structure={%22areaName%22:%22areaName%22,%22date%22:%22date%22,%22newCasesByPublishDate%22:%22newCasesByPublishDate%22,%22cumCasesByPublishDate%22:%22cumCasesByPublishDate%22}");
curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1);
$output = curl_exec($curl);
curl_close($curl);
echo $output;
?>
Sadly this just outputs a random list of characters like this:
9|_M\EJЀ"H*pKx,:VK`>ma˒܆V^gtde]fӷ7?_\=^Z)bj߽{tu7+/J~>o>|yvsEt{iL;+>PqF7ĵQuq9se*͈f hkhTӴnճ4Dk4EqJXUi4-rj9UZBs)J9a&z $Ͳn &4 a* UP:Gz4В:ZPc#KZsښJU'mĔ3#Kj4KSU#Kꜧ7ڇZRZUyݨ2I`֭ӴQu-Y{JZXi%5*dwZ;4ŰFI%A3Eu{#e#TZmuWidsVm j˱`V$hrz\4Fǜ%˩exQJ-F*кm.Qym24+ݚJTsR(!Get\Fe) kȤZN4Tf-ςhَ&*TɕZA R."0Y#Ԓ-ֿ0l#?թLUjl,$+mdt0ȒLvVMf$AbmL#%)hUdSfݬvLFǼkVEܔ%Y/znc=UE&35yd $3`ʲ>jf֬tETvY(#"]9%u4'EUutQcК}T*浨0J%TZ AkVrkFjiL 0+SYH9>uSOSI0|95-gQ +1d(HHԮYM=IMi8TPATaԆO$*%2oaU<hRR2.#cfaT8JkF !O#y&h$˔ #yς&è |DO;Z$X3U2yXbe0Ȩ4ZT<iCKDtiDmPa k!D3&^e֔i2:s4j*]z3GtTg<.&7V^yY٦N$9%TFa?ÿTQe6w2~Lm CE#wԏV^7l5ukDPixZ\˅Ny6'"dͭ5lj}J88ZJSIr5VgM#[cx5}M:k{Suo \7˔i%[=BUeUp%UV]#[myZ.V*z4݇]R^&V o ɜ&^stS^(&ʁvWp}l\T)]#;f *SUYD\%ft*(ZOz#G͐6L9*OW-[QuSLn݊BsJMQ>+ F)9|f7?Dó%Ҁal6mc#GUDŽ(pyl䨖ZcVSqOtPV1Ij%ŬF(*)7h%*U\VAڠ~Fл{kRhb{invM |Ƙhf-TZ{&6zuWUC&7kCDnT3i.'6w1,MB{7er#M81мTc]TiDRGY K5`d9G%=r(Й WZxq#^Pb OiS1 &sB#sF#GoBM(e U_26M( %6M(99Y?TmB)爲J']N3*W793&S}W)mJ݄PO1l=U]>]_ [V(Vn#h+eRJl+eRJl+eR2le+e([)CJ7Wǫw_}uot˻W?<?}t|ֿ~__/}_>~۩ώ?S=<}w5-__fkçm3Wߦxnx
Putting the url directly into a browser works fine, giving a nice JSON, see see here.
I'm really scratching my head to know where to go from here to get this to parse properly in PHP.
Can anyone help, I'm completely out of my depth here.
Excellent....thank you soooo much !!!!!, you have just solved a problem I have been trying to sort out on-and-off for some time.
The retrieved data is encoded, to enable decoding, add this line.
curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_ENCODING, '');
This enables the decoding of the retrieved data, by using and empty string as parameter, it enables all encoding types.
With the line added, your code will look like this.
$curl = curl_init();
curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_URL, "https://api.coronavirus.data.gov.uk/v1/data?filters=areaName=United%2520Kingdom;areaType=overview&structure={%22areaName%22:%22areaName%22,%22date%22:%22date%22,%22newCasesByPublishDate%22:%22newCasesByPublishDate%22,%22cumCasesByPublishDate%22:%22cumCasesByPublishDate%22}");
curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_ENCODING, ''); // <--- ADDED LINE!
curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1);
$output = curl_exec($curl);
curl_close($curl);
echo $output;
you need just encoding, this is working code:
<?php
$curl = curl_init();
curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_URL, "https://api.coronavirus.data.gov.uk/v1/data?
filters=areaName=United%2520Kingdom;areaType=overview&structure{%22areaName%22:%22areaName%22,%22date%22:%22date%22,%22newCasesByPublishDate%22:%22newCasesByPublishDate%22,%22cumCasesByPublishDate%22:%22cumCasesByPublishDate%22}");
curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_ENCODING, '');
curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1);
$output = curl_exec($curl);
curl_close($curl);
echo $output;
?>
I am new at programming Slash commands in Slack. For one of my commands, I have a username and need to retrieve the user icon URL. I am using PHP to code them.
I was planning on using users.profile.get, since the tutorial here shows that one of the fields returned is the user icon URL.
However, I am trying to find examples on how to make a call to this method and have not found any. Could anybody give me a quick example of the call, including how to send the parameters?
This is how far I got:
$slack_profile_url = "https://slack.com/api/users.profile.get";
$fields = urlencode($data);
$slack_call = curl_init($slack_profile_url);
curl_setopt($slack_call, CURLOPT_CUSTOMREQUEST, "POST");
curl_setopt($slack_call, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $fields);
curl_setopt($slack_call, CURLOPT_CRLF, true);
curl_setopt($slack_call, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true);
curl_setopt($slack_call, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, array(
"Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded",
"Content-Length: " . strlen($fields))
);
$profile = curl_exec($slack_call);
curl_close($slack_call);
I basically have $token and $user_name and need to get the profile picture URL. How do I format $token and $username as $data? Is the call correct?
If anybody recommends doing this a different way, I would appreciate any advice as well.
Thank you so much!
To get data into the right format to post to Slack is pretty straight forward. There's two options (POST body or application/x-www-form-urlencoded).
The query string for application/x-www-form-urlencoded is formatted like a get URL string.
https://slack.com/api/users.profile.get?token={token}&user={user}
// Optionally you can add pretty=1 to make it more readable
https://slack.com/api/users.profile.get?token={token}&user={user}&pretty=1
Just request that URL and you will retrieve the data.
The POST body format will use a similar code to what you have above.
$loc = "https://slack.com/api/users.profile.get";
$POST['token'] = "{token}";
$POST['user'] = "{user}";
$ch = curl_init($loc);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_CUSTOMREQUEST, "POST");
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $POST);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true);
$result = curl_exec($ch);
if ($error = curl_errno($ch)) { echo $error; }
//close connection
curl_close($ch);
echo $result;
:)
I'm trying to send an XML using curl but not as post parameter. what I mean is this.
for example.
the receiving side of that XML won't be able to recieve the XML using $_POST variable.
he will need to use the following code:
$xmlStr=null;
$file=fopen('php://input','r');
$xmlStr=fgets($file);
I want to be able to send an xml string using curl via https.
so the following would be wrong:
public static function HttpsNoVerify($url,$postFields=null,$verbose=false) {
// Initialize session and set URL.
$ch = curl_init();
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url);
// Set so curl_exec returns the result instead of outputting it.
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, false);
if ($postFields !=null) {
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $postFields);
}
if ($verbose) {
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_VERBOSE, 1);
}
// Get the response and close the channel.
$response = curl_exec($ch);
curl_close($ch);
return $response;
}
because here i can use HttpsNoVerify($url,array('xml_file'=>'xml..')); and that
will paste it as post parameter. and i want it as post output.
so please I hope i explained myself properly and I explained exactly what I don't want to do.
how can I do what i want to do?
thanks! :)
kfir
Just directly pass the xml string as second parameter instead of an associative array item,
HttpsNoVerify($url, 'xml ..');
This will eventually call
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, "xml ...");
Which will be put in php://input for the remote server.
In PHP, how can I pass an Object (actually an Array) from one Site to another Site (by not losing its original Object Structure and Values)?
How to PASS/SEND from the host site
NOT to pull from the destination site
I want to pass directly from the automated script by NOT using HTML and web forms.
Any suggestion, please.
The best way to do that is to use json_encode():
file_get_contents('http://www.example.com/script.php?data='.json_encode($object));
on the other side:
$content = json_decode($_GET['data']);
or send it using cURL
$url = 'http://www.example.com/script.php';
$post = 'data='.json_encode($object);
$ch = curl_init($url);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, true);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $post);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION, true);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, false);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, false);
curl_exec($ch);
on the other side:
$content = json_decode($_POST['data']);
You can convert it to JSON and then convert it back to the PHP object. This is very easy when it is an array. You can just use json_encode($array) and json_decode($json)on the other site. I would send the data via POST because the limit length of GET: Is there a limit to the length of a GET request?
I used barcode generation in my site. When I used it within HTML tags it's working fine.
<div class="barcode_img"><img src="<?php echo AT::getUrl(); ?>/barcode/image.php?code=code39&o=1&dpi=150&t=30&r=1&rot=0&text=TEST NAME WITH SPACE&f1=Arial.ttf&f2=10&a1=&a2=&a3=" class="barcode fr"/></div>
I need to get that image to store it in local folder called "media/barcode/". For that, I used the code below:
$valid_barcodename="testimage";
$barcodeurl = AT::getUrl() . "barcode/image.php?code=code39&o=1&dpi=150&t=30&r=1&rot=0&text=TEST NAME WITH SPACE&f1=Arial.ttf&f2=10&a1=&a2=&a3=";
$barcode_img = 'media/barcode/testing_' .$valid_barcodename . '.png';
file_put_contents($barcode_img, file_get_contents($barcodeurl));
The image stored in that folder is not empty. When I analyzed it I found, if I give the name "TEST NAME WITH SPACE" without space (TESTNAMEWITHSPACE), it works.
However if I give it with space it won't work. What is the issue?
Note: AT::getUrl() - used for get my base url.
Spaces have special meaning in URLs, so you have to encode them:
$text = urlencode("TEST NAME WITH SPACE")
$barcodeurl = AT::getUrl() . "barcode/image.php?code=code39&o=1&dpi=150&t=30&r=1&rot=0&text=". $text ."&f1=Arial.ttf&f2=10&a1=&a2=&a3=";
In the above code, $text now contains your text, encoded and ready to be used in your URL (you will notice the spaces have been replaced with %20 codes).
Note: If you're opening a URI with special characters, such as spaces,
you need to encode the URI with urlencode().
http://docs.php.net/file_get_contents
Alternatively, you can use cURL if enabled on your server.
function curl($url, $setopt = array(), $post = array())
{
$curl = curl_init();
curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_URL, $url);
curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1);
curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION, 1);
curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, 0);
curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST, 2);
if( ! empty($post))
{
curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_POST, 1);
curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $post);
}
if( ! empty($setopt))
{
foreach($setopt as $key => $value)
{
curl_setopt($curl, constant($key), $value);
}
}
$data = curl_exec($curl);
curl_close($curl);
return $data;
}
Usage:
file_put_contents($barcode_img, curl($barcodeurl));
